Brethren,

How can the Byzantine Catholic Church in America best serve the cause of reunion with the Orthodox Churches?

Our new Pope Benedict XVI seems dedicated to this all-important effort. Perhaps we have a more important role than we yet understand?

In Christ,

John:

I believe the Byzantine Catholic Church can best serve the cause of reunion with the Orthodox Churches by prayer to the Holy Spirit to transform the face of the Earth. It may sound simplistic, but prayer is very powerful.

Trying (with my feeble efforts) to help St. Therese, the Little Flower, let fall a shower of roses, and spend her heaven doing good on earth,

Don't take this in a negative way, but I think the Byzantine Catholics already do that.

Let's imagine that the Holy Spirit were to reply with a "I'm still waiting for you guy's to demonstrate that you are serious"

What else can we suggest?

A daily dedication to cooperating with Providence in the way this book describes it...

Abandonment to Divine Providence by Fr. Jean-Pierre Caussade.

It is a collection of his letters. Read one letter a day slowly and more than once. And then put it into pratice. YOu can either read all the Doctors of the Church (hard) or read Caussade putting it into eay words (easy).
