Lord Jesus Christ, Who didst command us to love our enemies, and those who defame and injure us, and to pray for them and forgive them; Who Thyself didst pray for Thine enemies, who crucified thee: grant us, we pray, the spirit of Christian reconciliation and meekness, that we may heartily forgive every injury and be reconciled with our enemies. Grant us to overcome the malevolence and offences of people with Christian meekness and true love of our neighbor. We further beseech Thee, O Lord, to grant to our enemies true peace and forgiveness of sins; and do not allow them to leave this life without true faith and sincere conversion. And help us repay evil with goodness, and to remain safe from the temptations of the devil and from all the perils which threaten us, in the form of visible and invisible enemies. Amen.

Lord have mercy on me for I am a Christian and I have enemies! Give me the Grace to love them as you loved those who killed you.

May the Lord - Who has said in the scriptures that "Vengeance is Mine!" protect his servant, Dr Eric, against all his enemies.

God have mercy on your servant, Dr. Eric, and on his enemies. Mary, Mother of Jesus, please pray for us all.

Dear Dr. Eric,

As Christians, it is unfortunate, but we are bound to have spiritual enemies...

The saddest thing, however, is when those spiritual enemies who are filled with anomosity towards us and the desire to upset us or hurt us, are fellow believers. The hardest thing we have all been called to do is to love one another.

Whether believers or non-believers, we need to pray for the peace of our Lord to fill their souls. May our Lord make it so. May the enemies of Dr. Eric be neutralized by our prayers and the grace of the Holy Spirit. May our Lord have mercy on us all!

Here is a Roman Catholic prayer that I like for our protection from those who have *chosen* to be our enemies:

Prayer For Help Against Spiritual Enemies

Glorious Saint Michael, Prince of the heavenly hosts, who stands always ready to give assistance to the people of God; who fought with the dragon, the old serpent, and cast him out of heaven, and now valiantly defends the Church of God that the gates of hell may never prevail against her, I earnestly entreat you to assist me also, in the painful and dangerous conflict which I sustain against the same formidable foe.

Be with me, O mighty Prince! that I may courageously fight and vanquish that proud spirit, whom you, by the Divine Power, gloriously overthrew, and whom our powerful King, Jesus Christ, has, in our nature, completely overcome; so having triumphed over the enemy of my salvation, I may with you and the holy angels, praise the clemency of God who, having refused mercy to the rebellious angels after their fall, has granted repentance and forgiveness to fallen man. Amen.

With much love in Christ,
Alice

As I pray that we be delivered from our enemies these scriptures come to mind:

Luke 1:71 that we should be saved from our enemies,
and from the hand of all who hate us;

Luke 1:74 to grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
might serve him without fear, (RSV)

In the Name of Jesus,<><

Lord loves to fit square pegs into round holes, for the pruning he is doing biggrin

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen....
