It has been one yr since my mom passed away. I stil cannot believe thatit has happened but I know she is with Our Lord and the Holy MOther of God.
My mom loved the Carmelite Order and on Sunday,, my friend is taking me to the Carmelite Monastery in San Francisco (Cristo Rey) to Mass and I pray for her intercession.
Thanks to all for their prayers!!!

Blessed repose and memory eternal.

With my father, at his military funeral I was quite stoic, but a year later I fell apart. Prayers.

Dear Brian,

With the Saints give rest, O Lord!

As you know, there is an Orthodox monastery in Ukraine, formerly Carmelite, that venerates a picture/icon of Our Lady of Mt Carmel which is listed by the Orthodox Professor Poselianin in his encyclopedic work on the Theotokos as an Orthodox miraculous icon called "Shkaplernaya-Karmylskaya" (sic).

May Our Lady of Mt Carmel extend her Mantle of Protection over you and your family at this sorrowful time.

Our mothers are truly a reflectin of the motherly care of our Heavenly Mother!

Dear Brian,

May our Heavenly Mother watch over you and give you strength as you recall and commemorate the death of your mother. May our Theotokos in all her heavenly glory, comfort you and enlighten you so as to be a blessing to all. May you shine as a living token of your mother in all your actions, and may your beliefs and words be a reflection of your mother's special love and devotion for our Lord.

Having lost my own mother less than 14 months ago, I can greatly sympathise with your situation. I offer my humble prayers for your mother and for you and all her loved ones.

May the soul of your Mother rest in a place where the just repose...

For Brian and the family, his trip to the monastery and the Mass, may the healing flow...
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen....
