Sweeny, the former parish priest of Our Lady of Peace here in Santa Clara, CA, fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday March 7th. He still resided at the parish, and would often assist at mass. Our Lady of Peace [olop-shrine.org] has a great reputation for being a very orthodox Roman Catholic parish. And they've got a good relationship with St. Basil\'s [stbasil.org] , my parish. Fr. Anthony from St. Basil's is the RCIA director at Our Lady of Peace, and that's where I take my RCIA class. So if you could pray for the soul of Monsignor Sweeny, that would be great. He was a truely devoted servant of the Lord and he'll be missed.
