Dear brothers and sisters on the Forum,

Kevin's condition has deteriorated and he is not expected to survive the day. He received Last Rites on Sunday night.

About a week ago he was still conscious, and he and his wife told their young kids that daddy wasn't going to get better. The kids are taking it hard.

He is no longer conscious or responsive. Please pray for him and his family.

In Christ,

LatinTrad

May the Mother who waited as her Son died for us intercede for Kevin and his family. May Kevin's family be supported by their family and friends as Mary was by the disciple whom He loved.

In their love may they feel the presence of the One who loves Kevin and them and Who calls Kevin to Himself.

Lord Jesus Christ, who wills that no man should perish, and to Whom petition is never made without the hope of mercy, for You said with Your own holy and blessed lips: "All things whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, shall be done unto you"; I beg of You, O Lord, for Your holy Name's sake, to grant Your Servant KEVIN at the hour of his death full consciousness and the power of speech, sincere contrition for his sins, true faith, firm hope and perfect charity, that he may be able to say to You with a clean heart: You have redeemed me, O God of truth, who are blessed, now and ever and unto ages of ages, Amen.

O Most Holy Mother of God pray for your son KEVIN and come at the last hour and be with him and bring him home to Paradise to be with your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ forever, Amen.

With my poor prayers,
+Father Archimandrite Gregory

Thank you, Fr. Archimandrite Gregory.

To all:

Kevin Keogh passed away at 5 PM yesterday evening. His father was in the air at the time, on the way up from Florida. Perhaps it is better that he did not see his son in his final, deteriorated state. God's providence governs all things.

Please pray for the repose of his soul, for the comfort of his young widow, and for his two young children. He had been home every day for years, as he was on disability from the police department long before he got sick, so the closeness with his wife and children was stronger even than is usual.

In paradisum deducant te angeli
In tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres

For Kevin,
May God grant him peace in His Light:

With the souls of the Just brought to perfection give rest, O Saviour, to the soul of your servant keeping him for the blessed life with You

for You love mankind

In the place of rest which is Yours, O Lord, where all your Saints repose, give rest to the soul of Your servant

for You alone love mankind

You are the God Who descended into the realm of death and ended the sorrow of the captives; give rest also, to the soul of Your servant, O Lord.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit

Now and ever and forever

Amen

The servant of God, KEVIN, may the Lord Our God place his soul in the mansions of the righteous and grant him rest among the Saints in Paradise!

Look down in mercy O Lord upon the family of the Newly Departed servant KEVIN and grant them the great grace of feeling Your presence near them in this most difficult time! Sustain their faith and hope and anchor them in that knowledge that they will one day see their husband and father again in the glory of Heaven. Teach them that the closer they are to You in prayer---the closer they are to their beloved husband and father. Help them to cling to each other during this painful time, that they might support one another by sharing their individual lives of faith and by their personal relationships with You.

May the Lord remember His servant and son KEVIN forever and may he be forgiven!

With my poor prayers,
+Father Archimandrite Gregory

Thank you all for your prayers.

Kevin will be waked tonight and tomorrow; his funeral and burial will be on Saturday morning.

Eternal rest grant unto him o Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace Amen.

May Kevin rest in peace and find a place in the Mansions of the Just.

Lord, comfort the family of Your newly departed servant, Kevin. Be their strength in this time of sorrow. Lift and carry this cross You have so lovingly given them so that it does nto become so difficult to bear that they abandon their hope in You. AMEN.

In Christ,

BOB
