My co-worker's baby died yesterday, suddenly and unexpectedly. Please pray for little Henry and for his parents who are experiencing profound shock and sadness that is truly beyond many of our comprehension.

Annie, frown Oh, of course, my heartfelt prayers this morning for this family who is suffering this loss.

Lord, surround little Henry's loved ones with your all embracing love. Have mercy on them. Heal them. And give them the peace that only you can give...the peace that passes all understanding.

I ask the Holy Theotokos to intercede on their behalf.

In Christ,

Mary Jo

May our Lord welcome the child Henry into His loving embrace, and extend His comforting hand from upon high to the child's parents that grieve for the loss of this precious soul from their presence.

May strength come to the parents. I know how hurt they must be. I know what it is like trying to have a child and the stress of "will he/she be OK"
I also pray the parents fertility through the blessed mother.

Prayers for the infant soul Henry. May his precious little soul delight in the light and glory of God while he waits for his parents someday in heaven.. may his parents be given strength by our good and merciful Lord and mystical love and consolation by our blessed Mother in Heaven, the all Holy Virgin Mary, at this most difficult time in their life.

With deep compassion,
and every hope in the Resurrection,
Alice

Loretta and I have also lost a child before we thought it should happen. The wound is still fresh 19 years later.
___________________________________________

Lord, You know the pain of the human condition because You walked it Yourself. You know all of what it means to be human except for sin. You give to us in marriage children to shepherd, to guide, to train in the Faith, but most of all to love. When you give us married people the anticipation of a new life, we are filled with the joy of that anticipation and we are lead to dream of what this child who is coming to us will be. When the child is called back to You before we think he should be, we are filled with sorrow at the void. We know how precious human life is both in anticipation and loss because we are, at the deepest levels of our being, moved to know that this life is real and it is a gift from You.

Grant to those of us who have lost a child, whether by miscarriage, or in childbirth, or thereafter, Your comfort. The loss of a child fills us with grief and reminds us of the fragility of our hopes and dreams in this world. In the darkness of grief, come and enlighten us with the promises of the Holy Gospel. Shine into our grief and help us to pick up the cross You give us and help us to understand that it is for our salvation, even when we cannot understand why. Strengthen our faith even as we think it is shattered and destroyed. Show us Your love and Your kindness.

At the prayers of our Most Holy, Most Pure, Most Blessed and Ever-Glorious Lady, the Mother of God, who is by Your gracious gift from the Cross, our Mother, of all the saints who enjoy perfect communion with You and who pray continuously for us, O lord, hear and answer our pleas as we grieve the loss of children. AMEN.

In Christ,

BOB

For those who have lost a child

Lord Jesus, You know the pain of a broken heart. Your Own Heart was broken by a lance for us all. Your own sorrow at Your Death was the sorrow of separation from Your Father and Ours because You accepted sin on our behalf. Help those of us who have suffered the loss of a child, that You entrusted to us, to see beyond our grief to the comfort that You alone can give. When the pain seems too great, let us simply put out our hands to reach for Your Hands and hold us in Your Warm Embrace. When we feel that we cannot pray, help us simply to sit quietly in Your Presence so that Your Presence Itself may heal us. Lift us from a grief that cannot be healed and help us to wear the scar of our loss with the sure hope that You wish it to be for our salvation, even when we cannot understand the reason why. Through the prayers of the Mother of God and of all the saints, O Lord Our Savior, hear and answer us who grieve. AMEN.

AMEN!

Most Holy Theotokos, the most loving of all mothers, pray for your children that they may find their rest in the arms of Jesus.
