All:

Please remember in your prayers my uncle, Rudy Thur, who past away a few days ago. He was only 66 years old. He was a farmer all his life growing up on the Thur Farm in Marstellar (Moss Creek), Cambria County, PA.

Farm help found him in the cattle barn under a pile of hay. The cause of his death is still being determined.

No surviving family members. My uncle lived alone.

I'm sorry that he died without human comfort. My prayers are that he rests in the comfort of the Father.

Thank you all for your prayers for my uncle.

I am still waiting to hear about the cause of death and when the funeral will be.

He was a member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Spangler, PA (St. Josaphat Eparchy - Ukrainian).

To All:

We can now speculate to the reason for his death. He died a gruesome death.

Rudy was walking down the stairs in the barn with an 80 lb. sack of feed and his leg broke through one of the steps, which sent him tumbling to the bottom of the barn floor. His femur was broken. A bull, which was known to be quite nasty and demanding, saw the feed and water pump next to my uncle and broke through the gate to get at it. This bull laid down on top of my uncle (don't know if my uncle was conscience or not) and broke every rib bone in his body, his legs, and smashed his skull. My uncle was found several days after.

Again, thank you for your prayers.

God bless,
Joe

Dear Joe,

That is terrible. I pray that your uncle was unconscious at that point. May our Lord have mercy on his soul and grant him eternal rest in His Kingdom.

In Christ,
Alice
