My wife of some 44 years has been diagnosed with lung cancer. At best there is a 50% chance she will survive some 5 years. I am begging your prayers for her. She is Roman Catholic and I am Eastern Orthodox. She is still going though a battery of tests to determine which treatment best serves her illness. Until then I HUMBLY ask you prayers for her healing and health. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

In Christ's service I remain faithfully yours,

JoeS

Beloved JoeS,

My heartfelt prayers for the recovery, (and not too much suffering in the process)of your dear wife. May God grant you wisdom in your decisions for treatment, hope in the face of despair, and HIS love in all things. My prayers also for *you* that our Blessed Theotokos will give you the strength to be strong for the blessing God has given you in a companion in Holy Marriage for 44 years.

Joe, your love is evident, and that is a blessing for your wife. I will pray for her privately, and also when my church's supplication services start...it would help if you could p.m. her name to me.

Also, St. Nektarios is quite the miracle worker and comforter for those who have cancer. May he intercede for you both.

'The offspring of Selyvria, and the guardian of Aegina,
the true friend of virtue who lived in the last days,
we faithful honour thee as a Godly servant of Christ,
Who poureth forth healings of all kinds for those who piously cry out,
GLORY to Christ who glorified thee, Glory to Him that made thee wondrous, Glory to Him who worketh healings for all through thee. Amen.'

In Christ,
Alice

Prayers, indeed, for Catherine...you cannot do better than to have her anointed with the oil from the Vigil lamps of one of our wonderworking saints...as Alice mentioned, St. Nektarios, patron saint of cancer sufferers woul be the best choice, also, St. John Maximovitch has worked MANY miracles...

May they intercede for you!

May we all add our prayers to those of St Peregrine to make intercession to Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for the restoration of Catherine's health.

Joe,
You and Catherine are in my prayers.

Do not give up. Pray to be helped to let go of fear and it will be easier to hear God.

Peace
