Please pray that tonight my businesses first real estate auction goes well. It is the home of my best friend we're selling who would like to make enough off the sale of the home so that his wife can stay home and raise their child (and the one on the way as well).
I haven't been this nervous in a long time...
I hope this is an appropriate prayer request.

"Since Abraham, intercession--asking on behalf of another--has been characteristic of a heart attuned to God's mercy." (paragraph 2635, p. 634)
May the Lord stand beside you as you work on behalf of your friend. May He prosper you and cause you to obtain the good intention that your friend has behind his selling his home.
Lord, bless Nathan and his efforts on behalf of his brother in the human family. Through the prayers of the Mother of God and all the saints, grant him success. AMEN.

In the Latin Rite there are a few customs and prayers for the intercession of St. Joseph, but I will only post this example of a short request
St.Joseph of Nazareth,
I beseech thee to intercede on my behalf
to help me find a worthy buyer for my home.
I ask this in the holy name of Christ.

I remember being nervous during the "bidding war" that ensued over the house that we eventually purchased.
You can invoke St Joseph the Patriarch, son of Jacob, who is honoured as the patron of homes, as is St Michael the Archangel.

Well, it didn't go well. Only one registered bidder. Some people just seem to be afraid of the auction process. Maybe things will work out all the better because the office just got a call from a person interested in the listing price.
Thanks for all your prayers, I'm sure it just wasn't meant to be last night! Hopefully, we'll get a buyer once it's listed!
