At Noon today (eastern standard time) prayers will be offered for Shoshana Johnson, the daughter of a Persian Gulf War veteran and mother of a 2-year-old girl, across our nation.
Shoshana Johnson entered the Army in September 1998 to get experience as a chef. She is now one of seven known POWs being held in Iraq.
Shoshana's aunt has asked for everyone's prayers today, saying that she fears for Shoshana's treatment under Iraq's military.
Please pray for Shoshana's strength and safety.

May the Lord grant Shoshana and all prisoners of war the strength and courage and perserverance that will enable them to reach freedom.
May He grant us peace.

I join you in fervent prayer for the humane treatment of all the POWs now in the hands of the Iraqis, especially the ONLY known female POW, Shoshana Johnson, and for the eternal repose of her comrades killed (executed?) in the encounter.

May the Lord grant all those held as prisoner , strength and courage to cope with their trials.
May He give them comfort and support in the knowledge that they are held in our prayers.
