Those of us who are former Muslims and were saved and rescued from the darkness of Islam-- through the witness of evangelical Christians-- mourn the assassination--yesterday--of three American Southern Baptist medical missionaries in Yemen, by an Islamic terrorist who killed the missionaries because "he wanted to get closer to God." We are praying for his salvation. May the blood of Christ cleanse him and bring him to eternal life. We forgive him, for God is love.

The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church....

May all believers pray for the families of:

William Koehn, martyr

Dr. Martha Myers, martyr

Kathleen Gariety, martyr

Please pray for the healing of Donald Caswell, wounded in the attack and for the safety of all missionaries in Yemen.

Eucharisto,

Abdur

Christ is born! Glorify Him!

Abdur,

I shall join you in that prayer. Let us also include the holy martyrs of so many parts of the world in this terrifying time, especially the unnamed martyrs of Sudan.

I pray Catholic and Orthodox Christians will rediscover their missionary vocation, especially among Muslims and Jews.

(And please pray for me as I begin my radio ministry. My knees are knocking smile )

Thanks for the hospitality and blessings in Christ for the New Year.

Adio!

Abdur

I hope so too. From your posts you seem to be very sensitive and very intelligent.

Dear Abdur,

Congratulations!

If it's any of my business, are you an Evangelical Christian yourself?

Dear Alex,

In the since that Jan Hus or Jerome of Prague, or the Moravians/Bohemian Brethren, or Protestant mystics, like Underhill or Lewis, were Protestants or evangelicals, then I am an "evangelical." But I am anything but a "fundamentalist," whether of the Protestant, Catholic, or Orthodox variety.

I suppose I am to orthodox Christianity what the Sufis are to orthodox Islam. But I love Jesus with a passion and I want to develop His character; the character of the Incarnate God.

Nothing else--ecclesiastically--has any meaning to me, since I am not the type of person who can associate or confuse the subject with the object, therefore, I am where I need to be to receive grace.

Besides, where I am, there is peace in the valley.

Adio!

Abdur

Dear Abdur,

Well, I've written an akathist to Jan Hus, did you know?!

Hus helped develop the Orthodox movement according to the Cyrillo-Methodian tradition in Eastern Europe and there is a rehabilitation process in the RC Church for him.

Jerome of Prague became an Orthodox Christian while on a visit to Latvia. His Orthodox baptismal certificate has been found and there are those in the Czech Orthodox Church interested in his eventual canonization.

Peace is always important.

May God bless you and continue to guide you into all His Peace which is the Peace of His Church, first and foremost!

(And, no, I'm not nagging you!)

Alex

May all who die for the sake of Christ receive eternal glory in heaven.

May Christ save us from the yoke of Islam.

May I offer a gentle reminder to all our good "posters", that this area of our forum is reserved only for prayers, and requests for prayers. News and discussion is best located elsewhere in threads dedicated to sharing information!

Thank you!

May the martyrs rejoice in the reward for their love. May the Lord guide those who do not know Him to faith in Him and His Incarnate Son.

May He bless the ministry of Abdur to the followers of Islam. May He continue to bless Abdur with peace.

Steve
