Please remember me in your prayers. I have pneumonia and its quite a draining experience. Also, the doctor did some other tests. Please pray that the results are good.

I appreciate your kindnesses.

How can we not pray for the member of this forum who has prayed for us with the most sincere and eloquent prayers ever heard from the heart? I am sorry that I never told you before how much they inspire me, and how Spirit filled they are.

Do you have bacterial or viral pneumonia? Were you sick with a cold before pneumonia set in?

Here comes the mother in me again ( :rolleyes: )...make sure that you are always well nourished and VERY well rested...my mother had viral pneumonia once, and she was in bed for a month...this is nothing to fool around with!

May our Lord God, through the intercessions of His Most Holy Mother and all the saints dear to you, dear brother in Christ, restore you to full health, which is a gift from Him. I will remember you in my unworthy prayers for the next week.

Dear Steve,

Echoing everybody else. Take it VERY easy, and don't overdo when you think you are OK. Lots of fluids, and "rest in the Lord." If you've got a recliner, that can be comfier to sleep in than a regular bed for some folks with pneumonia.

Prayers from the trenches - my 7yo was trying to blow the top off the thermometer last night, my husband just finished the SECOND run of antibiotics, my daughter the first, and I just called the doc's office to get the codeine re-upped.

Thank you for your prayers on my behalf. I am still feeling the effects of the pneumonia and am need of them.

May the Lord bless those here, especially Jakub, Theophan, Coalesco, Communion of Saints, Elizabeth Marie, Laurence, Fr. Archimadrite Gregory, Alice, Sharon, and the Administrator, as well as those who private messaged me. Each of them has shown His face to me in their concern for me and in their prayers for me. Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate them.

I had a severe sinus infection for which I was on antibiotics for 10 days. Three days after that, on Christmas, I felt the pneumonia. A nurse in the emergency room said that it is bacterial.

I am attempting to be a good patient with some success but some failure, too. I appreciate your suggestions and will try to follow the doctor's advice more closely.
