My Dear Friends:
Over the past several weeks, I have requested your prayers for the marriage of one of my dearest friends. I am grateful for the prayers you have offered. It is with sadness that I am reporting to you that things are getting worse, not better. My friend told me a couple of days ago that he and his wife are entering into a "trial period" of separation. Though he has not lost all hope, he is rather pessimistic right now as to whether their marriage can be salvaged. Please continue to pray for my friends and their young daughter.

The break-up of a marriage is equal to a priest leaving orders. A very sad occasion. God instituted the family way before the priesthood so this is even a greater loss. My prayers will be for them and the victim of this crisis, the daughter.

Lord Jesus let those you have brought together not be separated. Prayers especially for the child, bring forth healing Lord Jesus through your grace and mercy...
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen....

May the Lord give both these spouses the strength and wisdom to hear each other out and to have the desire to work very hard to heal this rift.

May the seperation act like a vaccine to whatever ails the marriage.

May the seperation last less than a year.

May the marriage rise in Christ.

As some of us know a vaccine is usually an introduction of disease to spur a resistance. In this case the disease is divorce and seperation is the vaccine.

May the marriage die and then rise in Christ...

Oh most Holy Theotokos save this family and protect the children that may be part of this family. Show them the radience of your love for them that it may guide them to the light of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit both now and ever and unto the ages of ages, Amen.
