Please pray for my dear friend Ron. He has been in excruciating pain due to a back problem that is apparently inoperable. The pain has been brutal and relentless ... sometimes it's so bad he can't even talk to me on the phone. He has essentially been bed-ridden since June, with only brief trips to the doctors and grocery store.

He's despairing of the doctors finding a treatment for him; he fears living as an invalid on drugs 24 hours a day; he speaks of wanting to end his life to end. If it weren't for the pain he'd cause his mother, I believe that he would kill himself... and I think he's actually at the end of his rope, that he may fall off the edge anyway, regardless of the pain he would leave behind.

Please pray for healing of his mind and body.

May He Who suffered the agony in the garden have mercy on His servant and mitigate his pain.

May Ron find in your concern and friendship and that of his other friends and in the love of his family for him a reason to live. May he find it possible to continue to know of the value of suffering.

We have a dear friend who is actually here from Ohio visiting us. He has to vertabrae in his back that are broken - litteraly. His condition is totally inoperable. The doctors say if he has surgery he will be totally paralized. The only way he use to get around was to crawl like a baby.

He began juicing, seriously juicing, and using natural means for healing. He has to wear two back braces - the kind that someone stocking shelves or lifting would wear - all the time. After a while, actually a few years, he bought a home and moved in by himself, away from his family. Then he got well enough to start swimming...I could go on and on. But Jeff, had to hope, only God. Just like this, he drove here from Ohio - he can't sit up straight, always has to be in a lying or standing position - so he drives with his seat lying back, one arm down beside the back of the front seat touching the floor and the other on the steering wheel. And away he goes... biggrin

I know he will be glad to be of any assistance he can, and would be glad to offer what he has learned. They have told him he has the worst back in five states...so.

So for your friend Ron may the Good Lord bless and keep him, that his countance should shine upon him, and grant him peace with complete recovery.
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen....

Dear Jesus,

Through the prayers and intercession of our Dearest Theotokos, and my special and never failing wonder worker Saint Nektarios, may You cast an eye on your beloved servant Ron. Help Ron recover completely from his pains and condition, and give him a will to live. Give us a miracle, for he will know then that his life is owed to God, and that he will serve God with all his heart from that day on.

May St Alphonsus Liguori, founder of the Redemptorists, whose own neck and back were bent over for 17 years (and during which time he could only celebrate Mass ONCE and that with papal approval and with the use of a straw by which to drink from the Chalice) come to this person's aid!

May good St. Seraphim of Sarov, whose back was mangled by an attack of robbers after which he was terribly bent and in constant pain, also interceed for your friend.

In Ron's darkest hour, may God fill him with the Light of His Divine Love, and may He strengthen him to endure his suffering with courage and dignity in union with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
