A friend of mine from the Christianity.com forums, Stacey Weisenfels, aka Sdaw passed away recently. Stacey was a tireless defender of the ancient faiths, and a devout Roman Catholic. He was quick-witted, kind, courteous, educated and eloquent. Whenever I was stumped for an answer to a difficult question, I knew that if I asked, he'd gladly help out. More about his passing can be found here [fcnforums.christianity.com]

If you could offer your prayers on the behalf of his soul, and for the comfort of his family, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Memory Eternal! May the Lord establish the soul of His newly-reposed servant Stacey where the just repose, where there is no pain, sufffering, or sighing.

In IC XC,
Father Anthony+

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

Dear Lurker,

He seemed like, in the words of one of his student's tributes, an 'amazing' person.

May God have mercy on his soul, forgive him his every sin and transgression and may He bring him into a place of light where there is no sorrow.

In Christ,
Alice

Hi Lurker,

Welcome to the Byzantine Forum. smile Your friend, Stacey sounds like he used his time on line to bless others including yourself. He will be missed.

My prayers for the repose of his soul, comfort of his family and his friends (including the ones on line); and that the generosity, mercy, and goodness he showed will continue to inspire many.

In Christ,

Porter
