From one who's been there - prayers on the way, and will continue.

Thank you all so much for the prayers. Ilya Michael was born this morning about 2 a.m.

Mother and child are fine, but since he was early and light (less than 4 lbs) they are keeping him a few days for observation. He's eating well and showing great vigor. We'll be having the prayers for the first day today. God be praised.

Father Deacon, Christ is Risen!

May the Lord bless you and your ever growing family with health and many years!

In the Risen Christ,
Father Anthony+

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

I pray that Ilya Michael thrives and that your wife recovers quickly. I weighed only 4 lbs and was 2 months early and that was in '76 so I trust that he will be well taken care of.

Lord have mercy on Ilya Michael, Father Deacon Diak and his wife. Let them all be healthy and able to serve you for many, many years!

Everyone's home and fine. Thanks for the prayers - there is really a powerhouse of prayer on this Forum - East and West united for prayers of the servants of God, whomever they may be, united by our "virtual" community and prayer for one another.

The Theotokos "Inexaustible Cup" grants many favors, and is a most powerful intercessor, that is for certain. I'll tell the story in greater detail later.

Great to hear that Mrs and baby Diak are doing well.

Is it true the Patriarch of Cool HB Incognitus is going to do the doings and wet the baby's head (pos a bit more biggrin if he has had few)?
