As a relatively new menber on the BZ perhaps I should not comment....but I will anyway.

It saddens me that on a Christian forum (and I think the BZ is a most excellent Chrisitian and learning Forum) a brother or sister would be treated with such un-christian behaviour as I have observed this week.

I must ask myself what would prompt a soul to "dump" on a brother or sister who had asked for our prayers. Regardless of past circumstances or behaviour it is not in the example of Jesus or what He asked us to do.
Michael wondering.... confused

I'm scratching my head. What are you talking about?

Dear Prior Michael,

I think I know who you are talking about and I agree with your assessment.

However, I also think that person should have handled the situation better than he did - especially since you were providing some, from what I hear, really excellent advice to him.

I'll have a heart-to-heart with that person when I speak to him next and remind him of what you suggested and also what the Administrator suggested.

However, I think he is over the worst of it by now - a lot of it of his own making, unfortunately.

He may still get some pm's over what transpired, but I'll try to reinforce your recommendation to hold fast and just ignore things, even when they come from those who should know better.

Dear Michael,

I wanted to thank you for your concern for me over the matter we privately discussed in recent times.

And I know that the person you refer to in this thread is myself.

However, I feel strongly that, in accordance with the rules of this forum, what is said in private should remain in private and must never be brought into the open.

Your thread, however well-intentioned, has, by its cryptic nature, served only to disturb members of this Forum.

The charge of unChristian behaviour is always a serious one. When levelled in a general way, as has been done here, it casts a negative aspersion on the entire Forum here - and this is entirely unwarranted and unjust.

In my private discussion with you, it was NEVER my intention to suggest anything of the sort.

I would like to call on the Moderators of the Prayer thread to kindly delete it from the public record here on the grounds that it raises an issue that was always intended to remain private and that it does cast, unjustly, a negative aspersion on the Forum and Forum Members.

Thank you,

Alex
