London has been hit in the centre today by a series of explosions - at least 6 frown

Casualties as yet unknown , the Tube ~Service has been shut down , and also all London buses are suspended

All main line trains are stopping outside London.

Please pray for them all

Prayer for all in London. It appears that these were terrorist attacks, at least according to Tony Blair. May God be with all those in the UK and keep them safe! May Our Lady's Mantle of Holy Protection extend over her majesty's kingdom, as well as over us here in the North America!

Dear Friends,

I understand the toll is rising - more than a dozen dead and over 160 wounded!

In one instance, the second storey of a double-decker bus was blown right off!

Prayers for the dead and wounded and their families and all the people of London and Britain!

Alex

The death toll is about 45 now - 7 were on that bus.

I understand that it is now a recovery operation at Kings Cross Station.

we are expecting a News Conference of the Emergency Services in about 30 mins - but the death toll is bound to rise

Lord have mercy

I join my prayers for the present generation of Londoners, whose forebears withstood a much harsher environment.

Amado

P.S. My elder sister just arrived in London last week and is still there visiting her daughter, my niece, who works as a nurse in one of the hospitals there. I have not heard from either of them and I am praying that they are both safe! My niece takes the subway to work.

Dear Anhelyna:

Thanks for the emergency number.

I have tried accessing the number without any prefixes but I cannot go through. I have tried 011, our international access prefix, but does not work either. Her home phone is still out.

However, I am feeling relieved already with that emergency number you provided.

Amado

Prayers indeed for the people of London, and those who love them and are anxious about their safety.

Gaudior, who thinks that that "religion of peace" really needs to be erradicated.

we have now heard that the confirmed total of fatalities is at 33 BUT they are unable to confirm how many died on the bus frown frown

Amado - I would say give it a while and then try the emergency line again- it is being overloaded as you can well imagine.

I think that eventually we will realise that in fact , though the death toll will undoubtedly rise , this whole catastrophe could have been much worse - there are thousands travelling on these tube trains during rush hour.

As you said . it is really horrible, but things are beginning to function again - buses should be back on , to some extent , this evening . Mainline trains are running again - though there are some disruption to normal timetables.

Lord have mercy on all those involved , the dead , their loved ones, all those who helped

I join my prayers to those here, particularly asking the blessed Theotokos to extend her mantle of consolation around those whose loved ones have died... the sudden widows and widowers whose hearts have been torn from their lives. They kissed their spouses goodbye this morning, never knowing that their world was about to shatter. May the love and mercy of our Lord and Saviour comfort and strengthen them.

Prayers for all...

I just read in AP that supposedly a Muslim group has claimed the attack, is called Al-Qaeda/Europe Jihad.

God have mercy.
