I have tried accessing the number without any prefixes but I cannot go through. I have tried 011, our international access prefix, but does not work either. Her home phone is still out.

However, I am feeling relieved already with that emergency number you provided.

Amado - Try dialing O11 44 1 870 1566 344

generally I have to insert 011 44 1 before any calls to the UK from Canada

Prayers for the people of London and for the safety of your sister and your niece.

Dear Brad:

I did found out when I referred back to my niece's number. I forgot to include the country (44) and city (1) access codes.

I have since been able to connect but my niece's home phone is still out of the loop.

Thanks for your assistance.

Amado

May the Lord God grant blessed repose to all those departed in the city of London in these acts of violence! May their memory be eternal!

May God, merciful and compassionate, help, heal, strengthen and comfort all the wounded, and injured. May he support all those who grieve at this time of loss.

May the Mother of God, help and protect her children in this time of tragedy.

A wee update smile

The Lord is indeed merciful !

When you consider that this was the Rush hour - the number of fatalities - though considerable is nothing like it could have been.

There are now 37 confirmed dead - from 3 explosions underground and one over ground - this is undoubtedly a miracle.

There are still many seriously ,and possibly critically, injured in hospitals in London

BUT it could have been so very very much worse

May the Lord continue to keep them all safe in His care

Dear Anhelyna:

Yes, indeed, it is a miracle that only a "few" fatalities was occasioned by this dastardly terrorist attack!

(It could very well be the difference between an explosive device and a bio-chemical release, God forbid!)

TV news just said there were 700 injured. The newscaster also said these are like war injuries and are very serious.

`This seems to be true from what we have been told.

I have just been phoned by my elder daughter - she is OK , badly shaken by all this , uninjured [ well she's a manager and mainly desk bound ] but is working overnight tonight - she went in as soon as it all kicked off this morning - please keep her in your prayers as well as all those who are trying to get london back to normal

I have so far been unable to contact family and friends in London. I pray for their health and safety. My young neice and her sons ride that Metro daily into London. God protect them all!

Thanks be to God for the two exploive divices that did not go off.

May God set his heavenly agles by legions to bring peace to the people of London. May they turn their hearts to God their Creator, Maker, and Friend. For he alone can lift them up and bring forth a new day, a new dawn in the darkness of the empty world.

Most Holy Theotokos pray for your servants that they will hear from God , with the right words, and the land will be healed. Most Nobel St. Joseph, all you angels and saints pray to the Lord our God for those that lost loved ones or were injured may they fine their recourse in him alone. Through the prayers of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. AMen

My prayers for all forum brethren who reside in London (Anton, Father Mark, Myles and others) and for all the families of forum brethren that live in, or find themselves in London at this time.

May they be heard from soon being both safe and sound.

May our Lord be with those who are mourning tonight, may He grant them comfort and strength,

for those who are suffering tonight, may they recover completely from their injuries,

and for those who have reposed today...may their memory be eternal.

In prayer,
Alice

Thank you all for your prayers.

Late last night the death toll had risen, we were told ,to 38 but again this morning we are being told it was 37 . Whatever, we all pray for those who have died and their families and friends

Many more were injured - of those many have already been discharged to their loving relatives for further care.

There are still some in hospital requiring care for the really severe blast injuries that they received.

London is slowly returning to normal though obviously transport will be affected for some time - I suspect that timetables will be disrupted - but services will run.

They are still asking people who do not need to travel into London to stay away.

Now we need also to think of all those who helped yesterday - many have seen sights they will never ever forget, many are exhausted from their efforts yesterday - but they will continue to work today.

Thank God the disaster planning worked , though we would all have hoped it would never have to be put into effect.

---------------

For those who died , their families and friends - Lord have mercy.

For those who were injured , and their families and loved ones - Lord heal them and support them

For those who were there as it happened - Lord support them as they cope with their fears for the future.

For those who work in London and have to be prepared for this - Lord give them strength .

Anhelyna - proud of her daughter in Transport for London and all Felicity's colleagues who rolled up their sleeves yesterday and got on with it.
