I wrote in an earlier post regarding all of my losses, but I again ask you all to continue to keep me in your prayers. I am still feeling much anxiety and worry.
At this point, I am still unemployed and the prospects are not looking good. As you may have seen on one of the other posts I am still struggling with finding employment and growing my own business.
My love, Yanni, and I, although we are reunited, are still battling many obstacles (he has too much work and I obviously, not enough, so seeing each other is limited and we live in different places). We are both struggling with fears and hurts from our past relationships and other losses and he fears being ready for a relationship in general. Yet, we have deep feelings for each other and are not ready to let each other go. Just when I think I should, God sends me a sign not to. So I ask you please, to pray that the good Lord very quickly softens Yanni's heart and clears any obstacles that are in our way from a committment and being together.

I am sorry to ask for such petitions when I know there are so many other sufferings, but after so many other personal losses I pray that this relationship will be one that will survive. With God I believe it will, so I ask you to please continue to pray for both of us and the struggles that we are going thru and that God keeps us together to get through them as one. This is something that is is deeply troubling me after all of my other losses and I cry out to the Lord for blessings and to all of you to pray for help with this one.
Thank you again and God Bless
-Janet

Dear Janet,

Sometimes, God opens a door for us just when we need it most.

He wants to rely on Him alone in our worst moments of despair.

I've started reading the Psalms with this intention. Prayer is important but in these times the amount of time we spend in prayer is what brings true healing for us.

Pour God's love into yourself through the Jesus Prayer, the Rosary and the Psalms. Remember Christ's admonition about spending at least one hour with him.

Spend two!

I prayed long and hard for my marriage. I even cried when I prayed. At the end of the day, my wife saw me and said, "Why, you are positively beaming - and so handsome!"

Perhaps God blinded her for a few moments? wink

God is real and God is right next to us. Tell Him your needs, tell Him you know He knows your needs and tell Him you are not going away until He meets them!

Dear MsRotelli,

May the Lord hear the wants and needs of your heart and grant them. May he sustain you in this time of struggle and uncertainty.

May you find strength in the certainty of His Love for you and in its riches.

Dear MsRotelli,

Prayer has a way of bringing calmness to our minds and hearts.

And if something we pray for doesn't come about, it is because there is something else God has in store for us.

Children go through a phase when they see a toy and know it's there.

When someone just covers it up with a towel, they think it is no longer there.

But it really is, it's just that we don't see it.

The cover will be lifted eventually so we can see it and find our fulfillment.

But we find it first in God and then in His gifts.

I remember a Wise Carmelite nun (my Spiritual Mother) who after I had gone through a bad depression and had recovered from it gave me this answer when I told her "I did not feel God's Presence during my illness"-

"Well, sometimes a child cannot see his mother's face when he is in her embrace"

Peace,
Brian

Dear Ms. Rotelli,

sometimes life can be one of the worst obstacles in our spiritual life. But we find comfort in Jesus, the Blessed Mother, and the Saints.

Life in today's society changes so rapidly without positive effect's. We find comfort with good people and through our personal spiritual life.

I have no doubt's that thing's will change for the better for you. You are a great person and you are alway's in my prayers. Find time for yourself and give things time to work out.
