Actually, I took the name Linus from St. Linus, the second Bishop of Rome, the immediate successor of St. Peter.

It is a happy coincidence that Linus is also the name of the little, blanket-toting Peanuts character. biggrin

Since Charles Schulz is (or was - is he still alive?) a practicing Christian, his choice of the name Linus for that character is not necessarily a coincidence! Anyway, best to keep the pumpkin patch sincere. Incognitus

Good grief, incognitus! Where have you been? biggrin Charles M. "Sparky" Schulz passed into eternal life on February 12, 2000, the eve of the publication of his final Sunday strip. Actually, Linus and Charlie were friends from art school.

Anyway to our new member, Linus, welcome.

Dear Linus, Welcome! I must be getting old---cause while all these people are reminded of Peanuts, I'm thinking of the 2nd Pope! LOL You'll like it here...the people are serious about their faith, genuinely pious---yet normal, and respectful. It doesn't get much better than that.

Welcome, Linus!

You know, some TradLats I talk to on the internet have the weirdest devotion to the Charlie Brown episodes and movies. They say (jokingly...I think!) that the Peanuts movies/episodes are strongholds of the Tridentine Mass. I guess it's some kind of joke; alas, I remain thoroughly confused. confused

P.S. - Y'all, he took Alex's avatar! I know people by their avatars, not by their membernames, so now I'm gonna have to focus and see whether it's Linus or Alex when I see the icon.

You and me both, Abuna. Heck, it must be because he, you, and me all went to school together with each other at different times and in various places, don'cha think? :p
