If my recollections of those whom I've met or seen here are correct, each of you should find somewhere below, in your own tongue, a greeting that wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I apologize in advance for mispellings, lack of accent marks, etc. frown My own linguistic abilities are more than a bit limited shocked , so I've relied on, and trusted in  , the internet for these.

Should I have missed anyone, and even if I haven't, let me add these wishes from my heart

May you have a blessed and joyful Christmas,
With the shepherds of the hills, the animals
of the fields, and the Angels of the Heavens,
May you rejoice in Our Saviour's Birth, and
Share in the Love of the Theotokos for Him

And,

May you, and yours, in the Year before us,
Prosper, enjoy good health and each other,
Realize your dreams and dream new ones,
Love and be loved by all,
Remember one another in prayer,
Learn and practice charity and humility,
Share yourself with your brothers and sisters in Faith
on this Forum, in our Churches,
in our parishes, and our daily lives,
Work together for reunion of our Churches which,
despite the differences created by man,
we love and know to be of God's people,
remembering always that God cares less
for where we worship than we do
and that our beloved forbearers
of thrice blessed memory suffered greatly
that we and others might have the right to do so, and
Pray for those of our Eastern Catholic and Orthodox communities
who still suffer and wait for the freedoms that we take for granted.

And may your years be many and blessed and, when they are done,
May the Lord lead you by the hand to a place where there is neither sorrow nor sighing, nor pain nor suffering, but only life everlasting in His Sight and Love.

And, may Saint Nicholas, Saint Barbara,
The Three Kings, Santa Claus, Saint Nick,
Kris Kringle, Father Christmas, Pere Noel,
Sinterklaas, Jules-Nissen, Grandfather Frost,
Daid na Nollag, Nikolo, Joulupukki, Hoteisho,
Gaghant Baba, Mikulas, Babbo Natale, Bozicek,
Hagio Nikolaos, Svaty Miklas, Deda Mraz,
Diado Coleda, Jultomten, Papa Noel, Ganesha,
Dun Che Loa Ren, Kerstman, Gwiazdor, Dyed Mroz,
La Befana, SnowMaiden, or whoever else
drops down your chimney, be good to you and yours.

Greetings in ASL [cvc.org]

Dear Neil,

Your beautiful Christmas greetings to all of us has brought tears to my eyes. I thank you for it from the bottom of my heart, and I wish you and yours the same (yet lack the same eloquence smile ).

Your greeting and well wishes here was a gift far greater than any gift 'Agios Nikolaos' could ever bring me under the tree!

Wishing you every blessing always,

In Christ, our new born King,
Alice

Alice,

Then you, 'Agios Nikolaos, and a line of Jesuits who taught me classical Greek, will please forgive me for using the H, rather than the breathing mark, before his title and for failing to add the sigma at the of his name. shocked

Thank you for your kind words smile .

Many years,

Neil
