A nice cartoon about religious tolerance:

Dear Dr. Eric,

Their cartoons have always been a reflection of how they think. wink

Isn't it tragically ironic?

A long time ago a large section of the Islamic world ceased to amaze and anger me.

Truly, and I don't say this lightly, it's all just very, very sad.

I guess I'm a little behind you Teen. I am outraged by all their hypocrisy and violence.

Hey,

LOL so it is ok for them to draw cartoons about the pope, but they would totally destroy us if we even draw something that could represent anything in their religion.

Dear Charbel,

The point is that people should have a certain amount of respect for another's religion. Those cartoons were not respectful, but as far as Pope Benedict goes, he was challeging them. If the Muslims really believe they are a religion with a firm basis, then be willing to dialogue and reason. Don't use force and intimidation. mad

The problem is that Pope John Paul II, bowed to them and accomodated them in everything, but they didn't reciprocate in any way. There is good news though, in Dubai a Greek Orthodox Church is being built.

Of course I don't know if other churches exist in Dubai, but it doesn't matter. At least I know there will be one. smile
