We are going to be in Cleveland this weekend -- near Rockside Road. Is there a Byzantine Church nearby that we could attend? I know we aren't going to make it back to Columbus in time for Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning.

I assume you'll be at one of the hotels at Rockside and I-77. If so, the closest church would be the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Take Rockside west from the hotel. Rockside turns into Snow Road, and the Cathedral is at the corner of Snow and Broadview in Parma--probably about a mile from the hotel. If that doesn't work for you, continue westbound on Snow, turn right (i.e. north) on State Road. The Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of St. Josaphat will be on the left, and, if you continue North on State Road into Cleveland, St. Mary's Church (Ruthenian) will be on the left, North of I-480 (just inside Cleveland). If neither of these possibilities appeals to you, then, instead of turning North on State from Snow Road, you can continue westbound on Snow until you reach West 54th Street. Turn right (North) onto West 54th, and Holy Spirit Church (Ruthenian) will be on the left.

That would be Parma and not Cleveland proper, no?

All the parishes mentioned are in Parma except St. Mary's, which is just over the line in Cleveland. The directions are from the intersection of I-77 and Rockside Road in Independence, Ohio.

Thank you! I'm going to show these to my husband and see which one he might like to try.
