Dear All,

I am not leaving because of anyone person nor am I angry, but I think that I must take a break. In the last few months I have tried very, very hard to be a fair and good moderator to all and for all, Orthodox and Catholic. I have never distinguished between our faiths, and I have never judged anyone on where they are affiliated, but only on the content of their character and soul.

As a moderator and as a friend, I have tried to support all our wonderful posters, both privately and publicly. I have tried to please everyone with kindness, humility, prayer and love, yet sometimes feel as if I have pleased absolutely no one. Infact, in the past month all I need to do is breathe and someone ultimately seems to get offended.

I have really tried to do a good job, and have never let the title of moderator change who I am.

I have met many wonderful friends here who have supported me with words of kindness and prayer.
Yet, as I said this morning, I am also sensitive, and though I have tried very hard to suppress being that way, I do feel somewhat unappreciated at times, and as if some kind of judgement has been passed on me when my posts are deleted, though I always try to be very careful about my words and intentions.

So, although I love this forum, and I humbly thank John for honoring me by making me a moderator, for I don't have any kind of title next to my name, I think that I will take a little break and spend more time in prayer and with my family.

I cannot thank you enough for your prayers for me in my difficult time recently.

Again, I seek forgiveness of any one who I may have unintentionally offended.

Humbly and unworthily,
Alice

Dearest Alice,

We will all miss you and your uplifting posts. Do come back soon, and try to remember that just because someone may disagree with you doesn't mean that they don't appreciate you or your wonderful work!

Dear Alice,
Not only do we love you - and we certainly do - but we cannot do without you! You are certainly in the prayers of many, including the prayers of your humble servant. I honestly cannot imagine who would want to offend you!

I trust this is just a break (which I often take too).

You are now, and always have been - edification - for us all. Your universal spirit - is just what the 'doctor' ordered us all to do.

Moderation is a hard task - not fitting for everyone - how about being - just a poster?

Dear Alice,

Have a good break!

Thank you, Alice, for your time here. You have offered us a wonderful example of Christian witness. I hope you have a wonderful break and come back refreshed in spirit. Although you say you do not have a title next to your name you do have one that is very important: friend.

To our readers: Moderating a Forum is a rather demanding task. No one likes to intervene and settle disputes between posters or edit posts that (intentionally or unintentionally) lack charity. As Alice notes, after awhile some posters seem to take offense at anything a moderator posts (or even plain old breathing!). Too often there is a lot going on behind the scenes that cause moderators to act and it is very easy for readers to form conclusions when they do not have all the information (and, really, have no need for it).

Dear Alice,

Please forgive me for anything that I may have written on this forum that may have upset, offended, or hurt you.

There's not much to say that hasn't already been said above, except that if someone like me never posted here again there would be no loss. If you don't come back this forum will lose a piece of its heart.

I'd rather read 100 of your posts than read one of my own(And so would everybody else! smile ), but I "stick my nose" in anyway.

Enjoy your time away, just don't stay away too long.

God Bless You,
Bill

Dear Alice,

Your deep commitment to this Forum and its goals has been enduring.... I feel sure that in His time, Our Lord will bring you back fully restored. You are tired because you give so much. That is ok. But your presence here is deeply needed and appreciated.

Whatever the role you fill here, please know that this Forum would never be the same without you.

You are a part of its mainstay. Indeed, I don't see how it could be the same without your presence. Peace to you and your family, Tammy
