Well, there are many reasons for the American support that Israel receives, but I just pointed out one. President Roosevelt refused to let a ship full of Jewish refugees disembark in the United States in the late 1930s. The guilt is there, whether or not it will be admitted to.

True - there were many huge battles between the forces of Christendom and Islam. North Africa and Asia Minor was lost to Islam. Islam stole the Hagia Sophia. Protestant Europe refused to fight Islam, to the best of my knowledge.

Just to let everyone know. The Jews were not readily accepted by American society until probably the late 1950's...and it was a long battle for them.

Most country clubs banned Jews, and many exclusive towns did not want Jews. In time those towns though became almost exclusively Jewish. How times have changed!
