I was most surprised by the number of obviously elderly participants. Not the expected demographic.

Some other things I noticed:

1. Was that a prescribed Eucharistic prayer?

2. I don't think the alien creature was supposed to be assisting at the altar. (Isn't there a GIRM restriction against non-humans assisting at the altar anyway?)

3. I don't think the people were supposed to be gathered around the altar during that whole time, even if they were EMHCs.

4. I particularly liked the matching outfits. There were the choir angels all matching, then there was the he-devil and the she-devil. Weren't they cute? Made me just want to pinch their cheeks! :rolleyes:

5. Did the priest allow the EHMCs to commune themselves with the Blood? It appeared so. He even handed two of them cups at the same time.

6. Nice cups, by the way. They look like they are straight out of a celtic-themed pub. That "matches" too! Wine-pub. They really are on a roll!

7. One would think his office space set-up would lend itself to consecrating ad orientem if the focus is on the people being able to see what is going on (as it is with choosing to face the people as he did).

8. Did that woman commune herself from the she-devil?

9. We can at least be grateful that the priest went as a priest and not a devil or pumpkin or something himself.

10. How did the person take this video without anyone giving funny looks to the guy with a video camera up in the air over everyone's heads?

Fifty years ago, believe me, this woman would've been strung up by her toes.

But the Catholic mindset is destroyed, and has been for decades now. It exists in very, very few parishes. The vast majority of "Catholics" have been brainwashed, and it seems that this was initially made possible because Catholics were so obedient. So obedient as to begrudgingly accept a fabricated liturgy, with every single rite of the Church being re-made, and now, ironically, it has caused such a large loss of sensus fidei that no one gives two ____ what a Catholic bishop says.

Put simply, the hope is in my generation, frankly, and the generations to come. We will have to wait for everyone over fifty to die out, and re-build Christ's Church.

I agree with most of what you said until the last paragraph. I talk to Catholics over 50-60 all the time, and when I tell them the biggest mistake the church ever made was when they scrapped the Latin Mass, I'd say 90 pct of them easily, agree with me emphatically. Unfortunately though when I talk to people under 30 or 25, what I call the MTV generation, it's often like talking to people from another planet. I often hear statements like "In the near future I hope the church will change it's position on FILL IN THE BLANK.

Look on the bright side, at least the female Euch. Minsiter wearing the devil horns has her head covered...that's a start

Okaaay.Wondering, I read your sleuthwork.Thanks for taking the time to find it.So it is for real.I don't know what to say. Besides the obvious offenders, it would seem that the costumes would detract from parishioners ability to concentrate on Christ.

And how do you explain to a child that it's OK for a demon to administer the Eucharist (and if he's under five convince him that it isn't a real demon) , that Mass is sacred and that, no, Charlie Brown's great pumpkin will not be dancing in the choir tonight? Hmmm.

Well, the solution to that is obvious. You get the priest to dress up as a pumpkin and dance in the choir! :rolleyes:

These people cannot even celebrate a pagan festival on its own proper day without anticipating it!

Notice that the emphasis is placed on the fact that they always celebrate this at their weekend mass, putting it in a prominant and central place of focus and not allowing it to go unnoticed on a silly Tuesday evening when people are less likely to be present to witness the priest's surprise costume. :rolleyes:

I'm with Logos teen on this one. I find this kind of thing hard to respect. I actually hope the photograph is a joke, and the event didn't actually happen.

Whatever about the generations, this kind of nonsense is long past its "sell-by-date". I hope his generation has more respect for the Liturgy than we have had, and ends this kind of confusion of symbols.

I agree. I think that Teen has made a most insightful post about the Church tradition which he loves so dearly and is so faithful to.
