I found a neat website I thought people here would find interesting:

The Madaba Mosaic Map Website [198.62.75.1]
Quote
The Madaba Mosaic Map is a unique piece of art realised in 6th-7th cent. A.D. as a decoration for the pavement of a church in the town of Madaba (Jordan) in the Byzantine Near East.
The mosaic represents the biblical land from Egypt to Lebanon, including Sinai, Israel, Palestine, and Transjordan.

The Madaba Mosaic map is deemed to be one of the best topographical representations of the Biblical Lands.
The site is set up by the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Land who have a website here:

Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land [198.62.75.1]

The website has other neat stuff with lots of historical information:

Christian Sanctuaries in the Holy Land [198.62.75.1]

Christian Pilgrimage in the Holy Land [198.62.75.1]

Virtual Via Crucis [198.62.75.1]

I hope you enjoy.

Jerusalem is the center of the universe and other interesting tid bits. One thing I enjoy about the map is the way the fish are swimming toward the Dead Sea up until they get near it then they swim frantically, one supposes, away.
