Systema is very good, both philosphically and it has the extreme advantage over most Asian martial arts because it's actually practical self defence.

I strongly agree with this and we need to promote the sublime ascetic and mystical heritage of our respective Churches. Tito Colliander's Way of the Ascetics, the major writings of St. John of the Cross, not to mention the Desert Fathers and Russian Mystics, put to shame most of the Tao of This... or Zen of That.... stuff I've read over the years.
