Nah, you're not dumb, Zenovia - you just had better things to do with your life than listen to Theresa Heinz Kerry. wink

Iraq, ______, Afghanistan. If you fill in the blank space you will see that Iran gives the US empire a tic tac toe. It's not a coincidence that all three may be raped. I will not support any troops in any country ever in my life.

Zenovia- I am no fan of Clinton's, but you are rewriting history: the economy flourished during his presidency.
As the Holy Father John Paul II predicted, the War in Iraq has been a disaster and the source of much needless death and suffering. Still, the True Believer will hold to his or her faith despite the evidence....

Many people look back on the Clinton years as a time when he stepped in to save our economy and it was just one big party until Bush came along.

Remember, he came in with a Democrat controlled House and Senate, passed the largest tax increase in history, and was pushing nationalized health care.

Because of this our economy continued to stagnate his first two years in office until nationalized health care crashed and burned and the Republicans gained control of Congress.

Actually, I can't think of anything in particular that Clinton proactively did to stimulate the US economy.

In my first presidential election I voted for Clinton in '96. The last 2 elections I voted for Bush. I probably should have voted for Keyes or Buchannan all 3 times!

Shoot. Dubya is about to start WWIII, and I just did my tax returns?

We should tell the Iraqis: We did our part, you failed to do your part, mission accomplished, good-bye.

We should tell the Iranians the same thing we told the Russians and the Chinese: Go ahead, waste your money on nuclear weapons, but we promise to utterly destroy your country if you ever use one.

This policy has worked for over 50 years under both Democratic and Republican Administrations, even that of President William Jefferson Clinton.

By the way, nobody died when Clinton lied. I wish that was true about Dubya.

No, just some Christians in Bosnia. Who cares about them anyway.

All kidding aside, what would you posters do about the situation in Iran?

Right. And nobody died when Nixon lied either but I don't suppose you will make room for that bumper sticker on your VW van.

I wasn't thinking about Nixon - I was thinking about Reagan when he lied about Iran-Contra. Tens of thousands died in Nicaragua due to Reagan's shenanigans.

But thinking about Nixon, tens of thousands died in Cambodia when he lied about that conflict.

Oh, I drive a Toyota Camry.

The conflicts in Nicaragua and Cambodia didn't happen in a vacuum. Those deaths had more to do with Marxist guerrillas and a guy named Pol Pot.

But what is it about Clinton that makes you try to justify his actions? Are you saying that lying is fine if no one dies? It's fine if the chief law enforcement officer in the US perjures himself before a Grand Jury?

It's fine if the US president fights a politically-correct war against Muslims but indiscrimnately destroys Christians in an attempt to deflect attention away from his lies - as long as he's a Democrat?

It's fine that a US president, if he's a Democrat, signs into law a partial-birth abortion bill. Many died from that and he didn't even need to lie

I have my disagreements with the GOP but I cannot understand how people of conscience can support the national Democrat party and its leaders. They are a dispicable group and national disgrace.

Regarding your choice of vehicle: perhaps you don't have a bumper sticker on it - that's good.

I only see the "No One Died When Clinton Lied" bumper sticker on two types of cars. One is a VW van driven by a maggot infested hippie (my apologies to any maggot who may be reading this) and the other is a Volvo driven by a suburban woman with a "Keep Your Rosaries Off My Ovaries" bumper sticker next to her DARWIN fish.
