Dear Friends,
We've more than just a "thread of appreciation" for our brother, Dan Lauffer, but here it is anyway.
A great Christian and man of God, always on the active look-out to make a contribution to the building up of the Church, always ready with advice, counsel and love for all, hopefully a priest one day and even a bishop (he can take over my Eparchy any day!).
As the Americans said during the Revolution, "Huzzah! Huzzah for Dan Lauffer!"
God be praised for His servant, Dan!

God is good. It is great to have great friends, some I know face to face, all I hope to see someday here or in a far better place. I don't think this one detractor hates me so much as she hates in general. It is sad.
Anyway, I love you all. I love my Church. I love my Savior.

I enjoy posting with Dan very much. Even when we disagreed, I have always had the sense that he was giving my views a fair hearing. I appreciate the unique gifts that he brings to the forum and to the church. And that his fresh perspectives have never been without respect for a history that he has always been willing to learn more about.
I was happy to see Mary posting here because I enjoyed her posts over at the Indiana list and CINEast very much. Regrettably things got off to a bad start here. I hope that things go better when she returns.
