The "Krylos" Choir of the Parish of Sts. Volodymyr and Olha is pleased to announce the release of its Compact Disc entitled "Liturgical Hymns of the Great Fast and Holy Week." The disc is sung in Old Slavonic and Ukrainian.

The theme of the disc is programatic, taking the listener on a musical journey from the Sunday of the Publican and Pharisee to the moment of the Descent into Hades. The disc includes Galician and Kyivan chant as well as a two composed works by Bortniansky.

The cost is $15 per disc plus $3 S&H per order.

To order, please send a check or money order made payable to "Krylos" as well as your name and mailing address to:

This CD gets 5 (liturgical) stars and the "Chtec Seal of Approval."

It is really a great selection of music and done very well. I love listening to my copy of it.

I just hope that the Krylos comes out with a companion Paschal music CD. biggrin
