After seeing Frank N Stein two days ago, I thought I would tell a story about a different Frank: Frank Lee.

Frank Lee was a poor man in his middle thirties. His girl friend, Doris, was also quite poor. They were both faithful Christians, and tried to keep in good spirits, despite the rather difficult life they had.

Easter was coming, and Frank Lee wanted to have a feast with his girlfriend. He was ready to host it in his small apartment. He would prepare the food, and even buy most of it. But he couldn't afford it all, and so he asked Doris to bring the ham.

What he did not know is that Doris had lost her job, and needed to conserve her funds. She tried to think if she could do it, and told him she would try. Two days before Easter, she calls him. She tells him she has bad news. "Frank Lee, my dear, I can't give a ham."

Sorry - I must be on the wrong thread. I thought "those darned Franks" referred to hot dogs!

I thought that he was referring to the Franks, (or the Frankish people) of European history!

To each their own: one thinks food and one thinks history, LOL! biggrin

Incognitus, are you eating enough these days? *WINK*

Fondly,
Alice

Dear Alice - my particular means of pursuing holiness may yet be based on the principle of martyrdom by caloric self-immolation!

Well, incognitus is also correct... he picked up the psychic residue from the back of my mind. I meant to explain, after seeing Frank N Stein, and hearing about Frank Footer, the story of Frank Lee should be told.
