It spreads itself thick around such behaviors as your's here. I could understand if anything besides your pride had been hurt or wounded. Perhaps your behavior would appear less self-absorbed, if you were speaking out indefense of some weaker body or soul. As it is, your participation in this thread is pathetic. Eli

Oh, yes, holy starets, I'll get on that straightway.
Please.
Even if they learn the rite and your language you look down on traditionalists who come to you - how many more of your churches would close without them?
If the real Byzcath scene is as cliquey and unfair as Mr Vernoski and his board - in my experience it's not but remember those people in Connecticut who had their church closed from under them and were run off by an armed guard? - no wonder the Ruthenian metropolia is going down the toilet.

Frankly I don't see that your concern is for the Byzantine Church at all, in any respect. It is quite clear that your primary concern is what others say to you or about you, and you wear your feelings right out there on your sleeve for all the world to see. There is something very wrong with the way you obsess on things that are essentially insignificant. Let's keep the spot-light where you begin and end with it. On yourself. That way you cannot accuse anyone of ignoring you, or not taking you as seriously as you feel that you deserve. Eli

This tells us no more than the possibility that you are a collector of curious things. There is, unfortunately, a history of your public activities that demonstrate that when a Church displeases you, you not only leave it but you spend undo energy on verbal recriminations for years thereafter. Your tendency to obsess is not a great secret. Your words here and the fact that they are so clearly self-absorbed speak far louder than stories told by others about a life that is not your own. You might consider asking yourself why you are allowed to remain here and take free-wheeling pot shots at the owner of the Forum, when others are removed and entire threads disappear at the discernment of the management. The owner's magnanimity becomes much more apparent the harder you push, and you begin to look for all the world like no more than a petty little sour-mouth. Eli

Right then why exactly do you hate traditionalists who don't try to 'Tridentinise' your churches and instead learn your rite and at least one of your languages and defend Byzantine Catholics' efforts to restore their traditional practices?
Collectors of curiosities are cool too so thanks even though you obviously didn't mean it in a nice way.

Eli [/b] Non sequitur, ad hominem and probably some other cool Latin expressions.

I have been too busy to get to this today, but we have received many moderator alerts from different people about the tone of this thread. With the very brief overview I have had of it, I have decided to close the thread before more uncharitable discussion continues.
Sincerely, Alice, Moderator
