A priest friend emailed this information to me. Please check it out if you are interested in this type of thing.

Apparently the number of 'hits' a website receives in taken into consideration when a film is about to be released to gage interest in it's distribution.

With Best Wishes to all!

Thanks for the information about the upcoming film. I have a very special devotion to Ste. Therese of Lisieux since I read her autobiography when I was in 8th grade. Her theology of 'simplicity' spoke very deeply to me and the idea that a 'kid' could do so much (I was 14 at the time) was just an eye-opener. The only real pilgrimage that I made as a young seminarian in Europe was to her shrine in Lisieux. (Apart from the fact that the hotel I stayed in had "the Watchtower" in each room, it was a very uplifing experience.)

Although I get a little apprehensive about Hollywood and movies when they touch upon spiritual topics - movie producers are not exactly know for their piety and spiritual values!!! -- I hope that folks who see the film will be stimulated enough to go out and read her autobiography, "L' Histoire d'un Ame" (the Story of a Soul).

"I will spend my heaven in doing good upon the earth".

Wow!

Dr. John,

My former RC Parish was St. Therese of Lisieux. Our former late +Pastor really emphasized her life to the Parish. Today is the Anniversary of his death.

Christos Voskrese!!!!!!! Voistinnu Voskrese!!!!!!!

I think the best film on St Therese was "Therese" by the French director Alain Cavalier which won awards at the Cannes Film Festival not too long ago.

Does anyone know when this film will be released in the USA? Has it already been released elsewhere?

Do any of you watch EWTN? The people who did the one actor production on St, Maximilian Kolbe are the people doing this movie. I expect it will be very good.

Have you heard about the movie on the Passion that Mel Gibson is doing? EWTN's The World Over did an interview and that movie sounds good too.

The site said that it was shown a couple times throughout the US at "special screenings" and will be released in October of this year to the general public. I can't wait. It looks spectacular.
