For Filipinos only (but anyone can join in--does that sound contradictory?). Anytway, Neil mentioned that there are a number of Filipinos here: https://www.byzcath.org/bboard/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=4;t=001164;p=3 So how many of us are here? Anyone from Paranaque specifically (where I am now)?

Thanks, LT, for that nice introduction! biggrin

I was just unsure on what Milliardo was interested in: Filipino Catholics posting FROM the Philippines, or anywhere in the world?

Obviously, I post from Chicago where I have been implanted for the last 18 years and, I must admit, have "lost" the currency on Filipino Catholicism. shocked

Aside from "elexei" or Ruel, a T.O. Carmelite, another Filipino posting from the Philippines is "ad orientam" who hails from Las Pinas City. I believe "ad Orientam" plans to pursue graduate(?) studies on Eastern Theology.

A new member is Bro. Francis Mary, O.S.F., of the San Pedro Bautista Friary (Philippines).

Amadeus, mainly Filipinos from the Philippines, since I live here in the Philippines. Good to see someone lives close to me--Las Pinas is just next door to us, so ad orientam is really close by. I wonder where he'll get his degree on Eastern Theology though?

Milliardo:

"ad orientam" plans to enroll at MASI in Canada, if he can raise some funds.

I know of (protestant) missionaries who have served in the Philippines, they used to send their newsletter to us... I have a head for foreign phrases... like "let us pray together!"

We may pray together even though history (and hurt) and tradition sometimes raise barriers, yes!?! biggrin grace and peace, wg

p.s. I live in Britain
