What do all of you envision Heaven to be like and to look like? Does anyone ever really think about what Heaven is really like?
Does anyone ever think about what the Eternal Father looks like and what He's like? Being that He is a Spirit, I think that He just all extreme Brightness!!! Brighter than the sun!!! However, being that He is a Spirit, in my mind, I see Him as an Old Man sitting sitting on clouds giving His blessing. In my mind, I see Him with white hair and a white mustache and beard. What do all of you immagine Him to look like?
What do all of you immagine Jesus, Our Lady, and all of the Angels and Saints to look like?
I think, that besides all of the glorious singing that goes on in Heaven, there is also humor. I think that the Eternal Father probably has a sense of humor!!! Certainly the Saints do, as I have found out when certain ones have answered my intentions.
I just think that this is a very beautful topic to discuss. Just to get everybody's view point on Heaven...just to find out what all of you are expecting, hoping for, and hopefully working towards.
I certainly don't think that people talk enough about the Eternal Father. Did anyone ever question as to why there is no feast day set aside especially for Him like there is for Jesus, Our Lady, the Angels and the Saints? Afterall, He is our Creator!!!
God bless!!!

Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory to Him Forever!
Is it appropriate to view God has having white hair and beard? I've always understood Christianity as teaching that God is just beyond all of that. I do recall the Catechism of the Catholic Church stating, that God now can sit bodily on the throne of heaven since he became incarnate in Jesus Christ. But what about before the incarnation? Did God have a form then?

Personally speaking, our tiny little brains can't even begin to conceive the beauty of the Eternal Father and of Heaven. Heaven is beyond our immagination!!! However, what I have written is only my thoughts of what Heaven, and the Eternal Father, look like and what it must be like up There. What does everyone else think Heaven and the Eternal Father look like? I'm just curious as to what other people think that about what Heaven really looks like. I know that we will really find out when we go There. But, I think that this is just a nice topic for discussion---just to find out what other people are looking forward to in the next life and what they think Heaven is like and what they think Heaven looks like!!! I don't know about you all, but I am looking forward to going There someday!!!
God bless!!!

I'm confused as to how I view Heaven. When I think of Heaven before the Second Coming I think of the choirs of angels in blazing and blinding beauty adoring God of infinitely higher beauty through prayer and chant. I think all those in Heaven, bodiless souls, who have reposed ans are "now" lifting up prayers for those on Earth. I think of Heaven as outside of time, where nothing but the sublimest joy is found. I am inclined to say my thoughts on Heaven could be summed up in the visions of the Book of Isaiah and the Book of the Apacalypse (Revelation).
After the Second Coming I view it as basically the same thing, but with everyone having glorified bodies and minus the prayers for those on Earth.
I am inclined to think of God as invisible and without form, but we know God the Son has His Body through all time. How this squares with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit being bodiless yet all three being the same God, don't ask me. The Trinity has always been my "theological weak spot."

Dear Ave Maria,
I did experience an intimation of what I truly do believe Heaven will be like.
Unfortunately, as much as I've tried, I cannot really put it into words.
Hopefully, I wasn't deceived by the evil one.

Dear Alex,
It sounds like you must have had an out of body experience of some sort.
I know that everyone's thoughts of Heaven are in no comparison to it's real beauty. But, it's nice to hear what people think Heaven might be like, and what the Eternal Father, and all of the People up there are like. It's nice to get people's view points, I think!!!
God bless!!!

Dear Memo,
Well, it was a truly beautiful experience, a real "turn-on."
Eye truly has not seen, nor ear heard, what God has prepared . . .

Dear Khrystyna,
I USED to be very much into the Charismatic Movement.
And this led me to the Eastern Church . . .

Hello: As long as Alex is not "slain in the Spirit"!!! He would be sorely missed! I am pretty sure that Alex would agree with me that the the spectacles given by being "slain in the Spirit", or being "healed" from headaches and common colds, are not what the Charismatic Movement is all about. The Charismatic movement is about a personal experience with Christ, the One Who Lives, and about letting the Holy Spirit lead our lives, in Christ, as we make our pilgrimage to Our Father's House. Sound familiar? Of course! That is why the East attracts us so much. The East and the Charismatic movement have so much common ground! Shalom, Memo.

Memo writes: I am pretty sure that Alex would agree with me that the the spectacles given by being "slain in the Spirit", or being "healed" from headaches and common colds, are not what the Charismatic Movement is all about. And in all sincerity this was just meant as an affectionate jibe towards some of our Pentecostal brothers and sisters. I understand what you are saying about the Eastern/Charismatic connection. But the patristic foundations of Eastern worship are a firm safeguard against the divisiveness that the Charismatic movement has sometimes caused in Roman parishes. Although I may have a more quiet way of doing so, I am all for enaging the heart in worship, as long as the sacramental roots of Catholic worship are not undermined. Khrystyna

I think for starters one might breathe a sigh of relief just to be there.
