I have worn a plain olive wood Tau Franciscan Cross around my neck since I was 12. (I'm now in my fifties) It comes off to shower and I am surprised at how well its held out. Mark.

Dear Marcus,
The Eastern tradition is to never remove one's cross (one can to shower of course!).
One of the Crosses on Fr. Deacon Lance's site is shaped like a Tau . . .

How about this? http://www.gallerybyzantium.com I got a Soldier's Cross (silver), the Russian Orthodox style. Beautiful. I wear it every single day. I feel it reminds me to be strong as a Christian soldier in this world of turmoils. SPDundas Deaf Byzantine

More beautiful crosses!!!! About five years ago I lost my cross somewhere in the garden. I still have my miraculous metal though (which I never take off). Hopefully someday I'll get another cross to wear.

I remember of what did Saint John Chrysostomos when he was Patriarch of Constantinopol...
I find beautiful the crosses from egaza, but a simple wooden cross, from walnut or lime or olive is sufficient. The gold must be in the Holy Altar, not at our necks.
May God have mercy on us. Amin.

Dear Marian,
How are you, dear brother?
How are you feeling?
I know you like wooden crosses, but can I send you a metal one?
This is like what St John Fisher, the Martyr under King Henry VIII said, "In the early Church, there were wooden Chalices, but golden priests. Today, we have golden Chalices, but wooden priests . . ."

Hello brother Alex, in Christ,
I am by the mercy of God, glory to God for all. See my post at Prayer, I told a little more.
First time when I hear about St. John Fisher. His words are true.
Peace to you and your home. Always.
Brotherly, Marian +

Dear Marian,
May St Paissy Velichkovsky, and all Saints of Romania protect you always!
May the Mother of God of Niamets intercede for you and cover you with her mantle of protection!
