CIX!
Just want to mention two church anniversaries coming up this October in the Washington, D.C., area.
St. Gregory of Nyssa Byzantine Catholic Church will be celebrating its golden jubilee (50 years) as a parish. The mother (and grandmother) parish to all the Byzantine Catholic churches and missions in the greater D.C.-Baltimore area, St. Gregory's is planning a number of celbratory events. Please visit the church's website at
website [
stgregoryofnyssa.net] for more information. The church is located in Beltsville, Md., near I-95 and the Washington Beltway.
Epiphany of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Mission-Montgomery County will mark its 10th anniversary, also in October. A Divine Liturgy and celebration dinner is set for Sunday, November 19, as not to conflict with events at St. Gregory's and with other diocesan events. The Montgomery Mission meets in the Mother of God School in Gaithersburg, Md., a few miles from I-270. For more information, visit
