This reminds me of an editorial I saw in Sports Illustrated a few years back: "Three things that the rest of the world loves but America doesn't need... The Metric System, Socialism and...

Soccer!" :p

It sounded rather Jewish to me. Have you been watching Fiddler on the Roof lately?

May God bless and keep the Tsar... far away from us!

I think I saw Fiddler on the Roof maybe 25 years ago, so I wasn't thinking of that. I probably dislike musicals even more than soccer, if such is possible. Keep in mind this is coming from someone who has a Masters degree in music. eek

My son and his old college friends decided to take their vacations from work at the World Cup.
He was very excited about seeing Germany. They spent a day and night in Brussels first, because one of his friends is half Belgian. The food is supposed to be awesome there, and he was looking forward to that! (His friend introduced them all to the culinary delight of Belgian food while they were in school in Washington., D.C.)

Anyway, Prayers for all who are there--that they may all return to their homes safely.

Alice
