Dear friends,
After much consideration I have decided to leave this Forum indefinitely.
I have come to know many of you on a personal level and I must say that those of you whom I've had the pleasure to get to know here are truly exceptional Christians who live out the Faith sincerely.
Aside from these positive experiences, I have also had my share of negative experiences here on this Forum. But then again, who hasnt?
It should be noted that I am not leaving the Forum solely because of these bad experiences, rather, I am leaving because I feel that I can no longer add anything productive to the discussions here and I do not find myself being edified by most of the things that I have been reading by other posters as of late.
To be clear, our Catholic community, and in large part the entire Christian community today is at a crossroads in its self-understanding. We have often pitted ourselves one against the other. We find a need to cast judgment on one another and create an illusory litmus test to decide what constitutes a "True Christian." This is truly sad for me.
I mean there will always be disagreements amongst believers, but honestly, when you find yourself tired of the constant bickering with no possibility of changing minds or hearts, you must ask yourself, "Is it worth it?" And for me, on this Forum, the answer has come to "No, it isnt."
I love my Catholic faith and now as I find myself finishing my third year as a Theology student, I am excited to know that I will be part of the future of this Church. God willing I will be a theologian one day and will work tirelessly to find common ground and promote unity among the divergent and ever changing members of the Body of Christ.
This Forum does provide a wonderful service to the Christian community by providing a venue where Eastern and Western Christians can come together and voice their comments, concerns and questions. So dont get me wrong, just because I am no longer content here does not mean that others are not.
I would like to give you all a heartfelt thank you for introducing me to, making me understand, and learn to love the Eastern Churches.
My prayers are with the members of this Forum.
May God Bless you all.
In Jesus and Mary,
ProCatholico
Glory be to God

Pro,
I know where you are coming from as we have discussed this and I agree with you but I will definitely miss your perspective on this Forum. But I completely understand why you must take a break . But I do think that those who bring a different perspective MUST stay and be heard. So after a break, I do hope that you would think of coming back. We NEED you here!!! In Our Lord and the Blessed Mother of God (who resolve all our differences!)

Dear Pro Catholico,
I also hope that you will not leave us.
We all have discussions and debates at times with people that can leave us dismayed and even infuriated. The hardest thing that we are called to do by our Lord is to love one another.
Please don't give up. We need people like you that are committed to unity.
In Christ our Lord, Alice

Dear PC: If you must, do take a break. But we will always await your return! Amado P.S. When the Anglican mess comes to fore shortly, I will spotlight it with you in mind!
