Has anybody read "Dancing Alone" by Frank Schaeffer? What did you think? I haven't been able to put it down:)

Dear Columcille,
I will definitely go out and buy a copy - but when I'm dancing alone myself (my wife is watching our finances currently).

I have read it, and I find very interesting his views on the Reformation considering his parentage. He is the son of Francis and Edith Schaffer who was the founder of L'abri community in Switzerland. Very Calvinist.

I have not read it, but I have read the newspaper he publishes (published?) the "Christian Activist".
I tended to enjoy the paper until I actually attended a lecture by Mr. Schaeffer where he started out coming accross pretty good, but he became more abrasive and self-righteous as he went on...
I think I will seek out other authors from now on.
With Best wishes to all! Stefan-Ivan

I agree with Stefan-Ivan. His tone has taken a noticeably more anti-Catholic polemic since that book. If you want good balanced East-West spiritual material check out Olivier Clement, Soloviev and Lev Gillet.
