Supper, Jesus Papers, has anyone read anything about these? Are they the type as Divinci Code which I found to be a great mystery but it certainly didn't impact my faith in anyway. Are they just a way to take another jab at Christians in general???

Dear Sue,
I think it's time for Christians to start jabbing back . . .
We should learn to "fly like butterflies but sting like bees!"

From what I have read, Irenaeus referenced this "gospel of Judas" in his "Against Heresies" in the Second Century. This book has been known for more than 1800 years, and considered heretical for all that time.

I think it has about as much credibility as the Da Vinci Crock.

Some story like this always seems to come out around Christmas and Easter to try and discredit the faith.

I think those who have contributed to the other thread on this topic in 2. Faith and Worship, have also picked up on the commercial interests at play here.

Alex I agree; there has been a lot of attacks against Christianity, especially in the light of the "Da Vinci Code". So many people are being misled as well, which is sad. I thought about this, and thought that if the various Christian confessions can unite against these attacks, then that would be a great stand.

How does that link in with showing the other cheek?

Dear Pavel,
I think our Lord meant us to "turn the other cheek" when we are personally attacked etc.
He also told us not to profane what is holy.
Did our Lord not throw money-lenders out of the Temple and that with a whip?
Let us be zealous for the holiness of God's House and for the things of God!
