I've read other reports on this but this seems the most recent. All report the same thing: Pedophilia is much more common among those who claim themselves to be homosexual than those who claim to be heterosexual.

As I've said before the only category that matters is being in Christ. If one is in Christ one has no problem keeping away from lustful actions.

Dan Lauffer

Pedophilia more common among homosexuals

by Jon Dougherty
May 9, 2002

WASHINGTON (BP)--Child molestation and pedophilia occur far more commonly among homosexuals than among heterosexuals on a per capita basis, according to a new study.

"Overwhelming evidence supports the belief that homosexuality is a sexual deviancy often accompanied by disorders that have dire consequences for our culture," wrote Steve Baldwin in, "Child Molestation and the Homosexual Movement," soon to be published by the Regent University Law Review -- after Stanford Law Review backed out.

Baldwin is the executive director of the Council for National Policy in Washington, D.C.

"It is difficult to convey the dark side of the homosexual culture without appearing harsh," wrote Baldwin. "However, it is time to acknowledge that homosexual behavior threatens the foundation of Western civilization --the nuclear family."

Though the homosexual community and much of the media scoff at such accusations, Baldwin - who chaired the California Assembly's Education committee, where he fought against support for the homosexual agenda in the state's public schools - says in his report that homosexual activists' "efforts to target children both for their own sexual pleasure and to enlarge the homosexual movement" constitute an "unmistakable" attack on "the family unit."

Baldwin's research is substantiated in a recently completed body of work written by Judith Reisman, president of the Institute for Media Education, former member of the Meese pornography commission and author of numerous authoritative books debunking sexual myths, including "Kinsey, Crimes & Consequences."

In her thesis --also written for the Regent University Law Review --Reisman cited psychologist Eugene Abel, whose research found that homosexuals "sexually molest young boys with an incidence that is occurring from five times greater than the molestation of girls. ..."

Abel also found that non-incarcerated "child molesters admitted from 23.4 to 281.7 acts per offender ... whose targets were males."

"The rate of homosexual versus heterosexual child sexual abuse is staggering," Reisman wrote. She said "Abel's data of 150.2 boys abused per male homosexual offender finds no equal (yet) in heterosexual violations of 19.8 girls."

Jay Heavener, spokesman for PFLAG --Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, counters that federal crime data refute claims that homosexuals molest children at higher rates than heterosexuals.

"According to data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), this claim is false," he told WorldNetDaily by e-mail. "The gay and lesbian community calls into question any dubious research which flies in the face of our own experience."

And Gary Schoener, a clinical psychologist who has been diagnosing and treating clergy abuse for 28 years, told Salon.com, "There are far more heterosexual cases than homosexual."

In terms of sheer numbers, that may be true. But in terms of numbers of children abused per offender, homosexuals abuse with far greater frequency and boys, research shows, are the much-preferred target.

Baldwin says evidence he examined disproves the assertion that child molestation is more prevalent among heterosexuals. Both he and Reisman found that media coverage of adult homosexual abuse of minors is also slanted.

"The National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) recently boasted that although homosexuals are less than two percent of the population, three- fourths of the people who decide the content of the front page of the New York Times are homosexual," Reisman wrote.

That one fact is especially noteworthy, experts point out, given the recent child sex scandals taking place within the American Catholic church.

A survey by WorldNetDaily of recent news reports found that rarely did the media describe priestly sexual abuse as "homosexual" or "gay" activity -- even though the worst incidents involved male-to-male contact, and a spate of investigative reports has revealed that the Vatican is concerned about an upsurge of homosexuals in seminary schools throughout the world.

Baldwin says his research not only "confirms that homosexuals molest children at a rate vastly higher than heterosexuals," but it found that "the mainstream homosexual culture" even "commonly promotes sex with children."

"The editorial board of the leading pedophile academic journal, Paidika, is dominated by prominent homosexual scholars such as San Francisco State University professor John DeCecco, who happens to edit the Journal of Homosexuality," Baldwin wrote.

During his research, he also found:

1. The Journal of Homosexuality recently published a special double-issue entitled, "Male Intergenerational Intimacy," containing many articles portraying sex between men and minor boys as loving relationships. One article said parents should look upon the pedophile who loves their son "not as a rival or competitor, not as a theft of their property, but as a partner in the boy's upbringing, someone to be welcomed into their home."

2. In 1995 the homosexual magazine "Guide" said, "We can be proud that the gay movement has been home to the few voices who have had the courage to say out loud that children are naturally sexual" and "deserve the right to sexual expression with whoever they choose. ..." The article went on to say: "Instead of fearing being labeled pedophiles, we must proudly proclaim that sex is good, including children's sexuality ... we must do it for the children's sake."

3. Larry Kramer, the founder of ACT-UP, a noted homosexual activist group, wrote in his book, "Report from the Holocaust: The Making of an AIDS Activist": "In those instances where children do have sex with their homosexual elders, be they teachers or anyone else, I submit that often, very often, the child desires the activity, and perhaps even solicits it."

4. In a study of advertisements in the influential homosexual newspaper, The Advocate, Reisman found ads for a "Penetrable Boy Doll ... available in three provocative positions. She also found that the number of erotic boy images in each issue of The Advocate averaged 14.

5. Homosexual newspapers and travel publications advertise prominently for countries where boy prostitution is heavy, such as Burma, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

"Research on the homosexual lifestyle confirms it is almost exclusively a youth- oriented culture," Baldwin wrote. "Very few gays exhibit preference for older men."

"Some admit to focus on teenage boys," he said, "some on prepubescent boys, and many cross over between categories."

A 1988 study detailed in Baldwin's report found that most pedophiles even consider themselves to be "gay." According to the study, "Archives of Sexual Behavior," some 86 percent of pedophiles described themselves as homosexual or bisexual. Also, the study found, the number of teenage male prostitutes who identify as homosexuals has risen from 10 percent to 60 percent in the past 15 years.

When asked what he thought about critics who attempt to debunk his research, Baldwin said the results speak for themselves.

"For them to say this theory is false is to call many of the homosexual movement's leaders liars," he said. "Most of my evidence comes right from the gay community."

"I managed to find enough evidence that my thesis -- child molestation is an integral part of the homosexual movement -- is a valid thesis," Baldwin told WorldNetDaily.

Other experts have also found a distinct pattern between child sex abusers and the incidence of homosexuality.

"How long can psychologists be in denial about the significance of the dark side, and ignore what it implies about the homosexual condition? And there's a matter of even greater concern. How long will psychologists eagerly throw open the door to gay life for every sexually confused teenager?" writes Joseph Nicolosi, Ph.D, on behalf of NARTH -- the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality -- a group that says it exists to "provide psychological understanding of the cause, treatment and behavior patterns associated with homosexuality, within the boundaries of a civil public dialogue."

The North American Man-Boy Love Association, or NAMBLA, is "a group that openly promotes sex with minor boys and claims that boy-lovers respond to the needs of the boys they love," Baldwin said in his report.

The group is often endorsed by "many of the homosexual movement's most prominent leaders," he said.

Promotion of the "gay and lesbian lifestyle" is increasing in the nation's public schools.

A WorldNetDaily survey of homosexual-oriented websites found that almost every group has some sort of program to "educate" teachers, school administrators and other school employees about the homosexual lifestyle:

1. GLSEN -- the Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network -- bills itself as "the largest national network of parents, students, educators and others" specifically formed to end "discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression in K-12 schools. Two recent press releases boasted of the Broward County (Fla.) school board approving GLSEN-sponsored "training for teachers."

2. A student activist working with GLSEN officials has managed to "give voice" recently to "gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered students" at California schools;

3. PFLAG has created a national campaign called, "From Our House to the Schoolhouse," distributing to school officials -- among other materials -- a booklet entitled, "Just the Facts About Sexual Orientation and Youth: A Primer For Principals, Educators, & School Personnel.

Though most school-related programs are sold to administrators and parents as programs designed simply to end persecution of homosexuals and lesbians, none disclose what Baldwin says is compelling evidence that homosexuality is harmful to children.

"What ... does the academic literature say about the relationship between homosexuality and child molestation? Quite a bit, actually," he wrote, quoting data compiled by the Family Research Institute: "Scientific studies confirm a strong pedophilic predisposition among homosexuals."

The institute, after reviewing more than 19 studies and peer-reviewed reports in a 1985 "Psychological Reports" article, found that homosexuals account for between 25 and 40 percent of all child molestation.

"But this number is low," Baldwin says, "due to the fact that many reporters will not report if a child molester is a homosexual, even if he knows that to be the case."

I'm glad Dan keeps up with his friends from when he was a Protestant. Let's look at the sources "authorities" cited for the hateful accusations against gay people in the above news article:

1. Regent University Law School - controled by Pat Robertson.

2. Council for National Policy: lead by evangelical protestant conservatives including Jesse Helms, Bob Jones III (noted anti-Catholic), Ollie North, R.J. Rushdooney (someone really weird, if you know him), Jerry Falwell, and Nelson Bunker Hunt. The organization promotes creationism and opposes immigration.

3. Judith Reisman/Institute for Media Education - this group (I'm not sure it is much besides her) beleives in biblical literalism, only evanglical Biblical Protestants will be saved, and markets a book claiming Nazism was a gay conspriacy.

The article posted by Dan is interesting. I will let everyone decide for themselves what credability they give to these sources.

I will point out one factual error (though, as the hatred towards gay people by these sources is well known, I do not think I am obligated to make the Christian charitable assumption that is was a slip up rather than malice and bigotry). The "study" inflates the number of same sex pedophiles (assuming their other math is honest) by assuming only 2% of the American population is gay. We have come to the point in social tolerance where 4 - 6% of the population freely and openly defines themselves as gay and I would presume a number of others are but to not disclose it in order to protect themselves from the type of hatred we see here.

Axios

P.S. Like the previous thread Dan (and Won't Tell)started on his opinion of gay people, I think this topic is exhausted and would ask the forum leaders to close it. I am here to write about other things and Dan has ample alternatives available to him to write as extensively as he cares to about gay people and gay sex.

Axios,
I for one would appreciate it if you refrained from your labeling people like Dan who uphold Catholic teaching on homosexuality as being hateful(the implication is present in you posts). So far I have read NO hatred of homosexual persons on this forum only a condemnation of homosexual practice. I think it is totally out of place for you to come to a Catholic forum and label those who show a fidelity to official Church teaching on the matter of homosexuality as haters.

This forum has been established to provide a place for Byzantine Christians (and others) to post opinions. I am somewhat distressed to see that Dan has initiated yet another discussion on homosexualists (very archaic term) and that he presents the 'article' as journalistic verification of the truth.

In fact, like PR Newswire, anybody (and I mean ANYBODY!) who pays the subscription fee can post their 'news releases' hoping for pick-up by the media. (Legitimate news media wouldn't touch this stuff with a ten foot pole.) Thus, to tout this "article" as a peer-reviewed or 'fact-checked' and editor-approved news article is disingenuous.

Why this harping on homosexuality? Why not focus on the obesity problem in the U.S. that is symptomatic of gluttony? (There are 6 million new diabetics in the U.S. - meaning early death - as a result of obesity.) Or on unmarried mothers?

I think that there's another agenda here. And, though I may be wrong, it seems to reflect the mindset of certain evangelical or fundamentalist groups who take up a hobby-horse issue and focus on nothing else. Like that of the "reverend" Phelps who shows up at funerals of AIDS victims with signs that read: "God hates fags" or "Sinners with AIDS go to hell". Real Christian kindness for the survivors.

I would hope that Dan could find some other topics to comment on, and give this a break. We certainly have differences on this; he wants to judge people (anybody) based upon their actions (or rather: judge the actions without judging the person), and I (and others) are not willing to make any judgement unless we know the individual and have some understanding of where their soul is at.

I would hope that the administrator would close and/or delete this thread. And that Dan could find some other topics to propose for discussion.

Blessings to All!!

Hateful actions against gay people are real. We are violently assulted, fired from our jobs, rejected by our families. Clearly, those things minimize the the actions of people like Dan that write of "prancing" gay people and posted baseless accusations of our abuse of children.

Axios

I would ask the moderator againt to close this thread and let those who have a need to discuss their dislike of gay people to do it elsewhere.

Laus Tibi, Christe,

Thank you for your consistent defense of truth. Axios' methods are very typical of a significant number in our society. I've learned to pretty much ignore them and keep on the subject at hand. Just as he did in my former post he quickly wishes to change the subject by first: 1. Attacking sources instead of ideas. 2. Asking that the thread be closed so no points that he can't control can be made. Then, if he follows the pattern, he will offer to post his own thread supposedly refuting everything that has been said.

My favorite Twentieth Century English language poet is T.S.Eliot. He was very consistent to insist that literary criticism must address the literature and not the author. Axios may be a nice guy. I don't know, I don't know him. But his ideas leave something to be desired.

My wife and children and priest all think I'm a nice guy. Axios may think I'm a scoundral. (I neith know nor care). Neither opinion matters. All that matters for purposes of anonymous conversation is the ideas. Orthodoxy has proven its worthiness. Heresy fails such proof.

One final point. I have not seen any reputable studies that demonstrate any other conclusion than the one I've posted. I don't claim to know whether these findings are absolutely true or not. If someone has studies that show otherwise than that pedophilia is more prominent among homosexuals I'd be happy to study them.

I should think that the AMA might have some reputable studies.

Dr. John,

Surely with the resources at your disposal you can present a reputable study that will refute or support the study put forth in the post I copied above. Is truth so frightening to you that you can't set forth studies that might support your opinion rather than implying that I'm evil? Judge not lest you also be judged by the same judgment you meet out.

In our impulse driven society principle and nobility are of vital importance. Please, converse on principle rather than vitriol.

BTW No one is stopping you from starting a thread on obesity. Obesity is not particularly interesting to me. But if it is to you then go for it.

Dan Lauffer, Just wondering if I should promote my degrees as well. Nah! Ideas are more important than titles.

In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. One God, Amen.

OK I must admit that I am a little irritated. First, by the un-justified criticisms of the Star Wars movie by the film critics for what was a great movie. Movie critics, I am discovering, are just as nitpicking and obscurantist as Theologians, always rambling on but missing the point entirely. The second thing that I am irritated by is the above post. This article, if anything, confirms the maxim "figures don't lie, but liars can figure.' It is a gross misrepresentation of statistics.

The thing that is most disturbing is that it promotes the bigot Steve Baldwin and the right-wing organization Council for National Policy (CNP) as some "scholarly' analysis of the question it raises. Just click on this link and check out who these people are: http://www.berkshire.net/~ifas/cnp/index.html

Baldwin - who chaired the California Assembly's Education committee, where he fought against support for the homosexual agenda in the state's public schools

Oh here we go again, McCarthyism never dies and the heritage of the Witch Craze is still among us. Baldwin did not fight against any “homosexual agenda” (what ever that is???) but fought to preserve acceptable bigotry. He fought and defeated measure AB 222 from being amended to anti-discriminatory laws in the state. Correctly, all this measure sought to do was to protect students of different sexual orientations from discrimination and harassment. Baldwin opposed this, comparing homosexuals with people who practice bestiality and he did so at a time when the gay student was beaten to death and tied to a fence! You can read the actual story for yourself: www.mfsacal-pac.net/AB_222.html [mfsacal-pac.net]

"The National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) recently boasted that although homosexuals are less than two percent of the population, three- fourths of the people who decide the content of the front page of the New York Times are homosexual," Reisman wrote.

LOL!!! Now Gay people are in control of the Media!?! I guess Baldwin realized that the old arguments of communists and Jews controlling the media weren't attracting any adherents so they are trying something new now.

Steve Baldwin shares membership in the Council for National Policy with Rev. Don E. Wildmon who is also founder of the American Family Association. Wildmon is on record claiming that "Hollywood and the theatre world is heavily influenced by Jewish people" and that these executives have an intentionally designed desire to spread, through the media, "a genuine hostility towards Christians and the Christian faith" What is that American proverb, "birds in a flock fly together?' Obviously this is the case and the CNP abounds in reactionary conspiracy theories.

"However, it is time to acknowledge that homosexual behavior threatens the foundation of Western civilization --the nuclear family."

One can take issue with this comment on any number of grounds. Number one why is "western civilization' being presented as being under attack? This is the same type of theme (made by the same people) that promotes the image of the wagon of the “West” being under siege by the swarthy horde of savages (read: non-Europeans) as represented by multi-culturalism, affirmative action, bi-lingual education, immigrants, etc. (ALL of which the CNP opposes if you read parts of the web site that I referenced earlier.) So now added to the list are the homosexuals who threaten western civilization. That is funny, because any place you go on this planet the people are under the impression that a flourishing of homosexuality (i.e. gay university student associations in Kenya) in their country seems to closely correlate with contact with western culture and is mostly promoted by people most attracted to western forms of behavior.

What threatens the nuclear family are the conditions and institutions in modern industrial society which make it impossible to live life as before. The decreased real wage earning of the family make it necessary to work more in order to make ends meet. This in turns means less time with children because both parents are working too much overtime or more than one job. Time is so sparse that even the traditional family dinner, with everyone at the table, is vanishing. Kids have ate at McDonald's more times than they have eaten their mothers cooking. Of course Baldwin is not going to acknowledge this because he is politically in-line with the same people who are doing so much to undermine the families of working people and to make life easier for the Fortune 500.

The welfare system also made a tremendous attack on family structure. Not welfare checks per se, but the associated bureaucracy. Social workers visit the houses of single mother welfare recipients looking for "evidence' of male presence (i.e. male pants in closets, etc.) of which if they find the female recipient is in danger of losing her benefits. This discouraging of fostering relationships, to say the least, does not promote "family values' or marriage.

Last but not least the biggest threat to the nuclear family is adultery which breaks up marriages and separates families. Strange, or not so strange, that Baldwin does not have an article calling adultery “a sexual deviancy often accompanied by disorders that have dire consequences for our culture.”

You can be a conservative if you like, you can engage in conservative politics if you like, but please don't call that Christianity. Please do not assume that to be a Christian one has to be a part of this hysterical and mean spirited attack on gay people. Especially, when these people are saying nothing about fornicators and adulterers. The New Testament clumps them all as "sexual immorality' homosexuality does not enjoy any special status as "worse' than the others.

Please do not be confused by those who wish to defile our Honorable Apostolic Faith with the filth of bigots and fundamentalists for whom Christianity is merely a temporary convenient means to spread their hate and of which they will abandon at a later date when it has exhausted its usefulness.

I can not imagine that Christ or any of the Apostles would have been members of the hateful Council for National Policy or would have written an Epistle in the tone of the article posted by Dan.

Dear Dr. John, Axios and Aklie...well, you guys beat me to answering this tripe. I read it right after it was posted and had to cool off before I write anything. Thanks so much for saying what I wanted to say, but so much better and with much less passion that I would have! With you I hear the voice of Christ. I think He would have responded just as you did. God bless you and your loving hearts...and a loving heart is what it takes to be a Christian! And I agree, I think this thread should be closed by the administrator.

Hmmm...So you've attacked the character of some writers. Where is your evidence to the contrary? Your arguments are the typical Nietzschean "will to power" tripe that passes for reasoned discourse in late 20th and early 21st century America. I sense that you are used to getting your own way simply by bullying your detracters. It may work again. I may be asked to leave. But, what if I'm not?

Why don't you bully boys try doing some serious research to refute these authors statements rather than continually try to impune their character. Now, who's following the McCarthy lead?

I have read the posts on this thread and have decided not to close this thread. It would be nice if Dan posted his reason for starting this thread and the desired outcome he would like to see of this conversation.

I have read the posts on this thread and have decided to leave it open. I ask Dan to please clarify his reason for starting the thread. Was it to simply inform people of this issue? Was it to seek out ways of addressing this issue in the Church? Or was it something else. Most here have agreed that the current scandals in the Church need to be addressed and policies put in place to minimize the possibility of such sinful actions happening in the future. But what is different about the additional information presented in the starting post that makes it worthy of another discussion?

Dear Administrator:

I think we have tackled sufficiently in another thread the issue of homosexuality in the priesthood, as it relates to the current Church scandals.

Personally, I don't see any redeeming value forthcoming from this latest post of Dan. His topic is passe. And, clearly, Dan did not even attempt to tie it to Church issues.

I am for the closing of this thread and, if you decide otherwise, I encourage Dr. John, Axios, and Aklie to pour it on!

I don't feel strongly one way or another about leaving the thread open. It serves a couple of purposes, however.

The longer it remains open without a serious study showing that it is not true the more likely people will understand that the Orthodox position on the subject is right not only theologically but in every way.

Furthermore, it may help to show that the choice between homosexualists acting out their fantasies is not just a benign activity. If the study is true, and I've never seen anything to counter it, then there is a danger to our children in ordaining openly self proclaimed homosexuals.

Finally, Axios said that he was going to produce a study that demonstrated that there was no connection between active homosexual behavior and pedophilia. Since this is a common claim by active homosexual persons and since I've never seen such a study I was hoping that this thread would draw it out. That it has not may mean that there is no such study.

If the thread remains open for a few more days we may yet see one. If not, we may not.

Amado,

To "pour it on"? Quite a Christian thing to do.

I'd love for them to produce something of substance and not just calling of names. Perhaps you have some study that proves the opposite of this study.

Moreover, Axios himself said that he was going to open such a thread concerning homosexuality. This thread provides him the opportunity to point out the errors of the Orthodox position on the subject. All we've seen so far are accusations. Let's see some evidence.

As for closing the thread. I don't care one way or the other, except I hate to see bullies win.

BTW You forgot Moe and Greek man. Wow there are alot of defender of homosexual activity on this board!

FACT SHEET ON SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND CHILD ABUSE

Studies show that there is no connection to homosexuality and child sexual abuse. Dr. Carole Jenny reviewed 352 medical charts, representing all of the sexually abused children seen in the emergency room or child abuse clinic of a Denver childrens hospital during a one-year period (from July 1, 1991 to June 30, 1992). The molester was a gay or lesbian adult in only 2 of the 269 cases in which an adult molester could be identified, less than 1percent of the cases. (Jenny et al., 1994).

Groth and Birnbaum (1978) found that none of the 175 adult males in their sample all of whom were convicted in Massachusetts of sexual assault against a child had an exclusively homosexual adult sexual orientation.

In one review of the scientific literature, noted authority Dr. A. Nicholas Groth wrote:

Are homosexual adults in general sexually attracted to children and are preadolescent children at greater risk of molestation from homosexual adults than from heterosexual adults? There is no reason to believe so...

The research to date all points to there being no significant relationship between a homosexual lifestyle and child molestation. There appears to be practically no reportage of sexual molestation of girls by lesbian adults, and the adult male who sexually molests young boys is not likely to be homosexual (Groth & Gary, 1982, p. 147).

The heterosexual partner of a relative is more likely to sexually abuse children than someone who is gay.

A 1994 study found that a childs risk of being molested by his or her relatives heterosexual partner is 100 times greater than by someone who might be identified as a homosexual. (Carole Jenny et al., Are Children at Risk for Sexual Abuse by Homosexuals?; 94 Pediatrics 41; July 1994; study of 269 sexually abused children when an adult offender was identified.)

A sexual abuser who molests a child of the same sex is usually not considered homosexual.

Dr. Nathaniel McConaghy (1998) cautioned against confusing homosexuality with pedophilia. He noted, The man who offends against prepubertal or immediately postpubertal boys is typically not sexually interested in older men or in women (p. 259).

It is meaningless to speak of fixated molesters in these terms as heterosexual or homosexuals - they are attracted to children, not to men or women. (Groth & Birnbaum, 1978).

** Note: The term fixated molesters refers to adults exclusively attracted to children.

The experts agree that there is no link to homosexuality and child abuse.

The American Psychological Association, the National Association of Social Workers, the American Academy of Child Psychiatrists and the Child Welfare League of America all have policy statements stating there is no correlation between homosexuality and child abuse.

When asked about this question, the American Psychiatric Association wrote to the Senate stating: While we are all concerned by the issue of sexual abuse, there is no credible evidence that lesbians and gay men are more likely to commit such offenses than others. Gay men and lesbians do not pose any particular threat to youth and should not be singled out or discriminated against in any manner."

"It is ludicrous to identify pedophiles as homosexuals." Stan Robson, Chief Deputy, Benton County Sheriffs Department. In over 14 years of Robson's work with pedophiles, 498 out of 500 offenders identified themselves as heterosexual. (a)

"In my experience, the majority of people who molest children are heterosexual, if they're anything." Jim McIntyre, Senior Deputy District Attorney, Multnomah County (b)

"The vast majority of offenders are heterosexual men. Male offenders who abuse young boys maintain adult heterosexual relationships. The habitual molester of boys is rarely attracted to adult males." Roland Summit, M.D. (d)
