Heres my crack at it:

2003:
Pope John Paul II dies. A traditional Catholic convert From Protestantism is elected as Pope Seraphim I.

Lay Eucharistic ministers are removed permantently and the idea of a "normative" us of the Roman Rite is done away with. In protest 2/3 of the Catholic Communion break away to form the "Modern Catholic Church" under antipope Peter II.

Pope Saraphim I starts new missionary efforts and reconciles with the seperated Traditionalist groups.

2010
Pope Saraphim I and the new Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Serge I jointly call the 8th ecumenical council to be held in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. All Orthodox and Catholic Bishops attend. Several High Church Anglican and Conservative Protestant representatives attend as observers.

2011
Reconciliation between the Orthodox Churches and the Catholic Churches officially occurs with a concelebrated Divine Liturgy of St. Basil in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

High Church Anglicans and most Protestants come back into union with Rome. The Methodists, Anglicans, and the Lutherans were granted Sui Yuris Churches. Others are assimilated into the various existing Churches or they go to the Liberal Catholic Churches which have formed ecclesiatical unions with all religions of the world exept for Islamic Fundamentalists and Orthodox Jews, most of these groups are converted to the new Orthodox Catholic Church.

2033
In a Liturgy jointly offered up by the various patriarchs of the world Our Lord returns at the Consecration (Anaphora.)

I don't think it befits the saga to rocket off to its conclusion at reunion. The Church should enjoy a good millenia or two with the existance of a united East and West.

More episodes to follow:

* A nuclear war knocks the world back a good number of centuries (ie. a pre-Industrial revolution paradise for medievalists or Amish folk) The setting for a second coming must be right, after all. I find a hardcore techno-science-fiction apocalyptic setting to be quite repelling.

*The legend of Constantine XI is no mere quibble. The Empire is restored and the Turkish goons are driven back to the Gulf. (We Syrians take Antioch back. Assad makes a victory speech *shiver*....he drinks a "Double Cola" [with Vitamin C!] in celebration of Ba'athist economic principles)

Oh forget it......

Sounds like Solovyev's A Tale of the Anti-Christ to me.

I don't know much but this one is wrong...

2016
• Bishops of Society of St Pius X along with their churches are reconciled to official Roman Church.

I believe this just happened today. So much for the false prophets.

I think we need to be extremely careful with "prophecy" and predictions. I read a book by a woman who claimed California would sink into the ocean in 1995, according to what the Theotokos told her in a supposed vision (of course, this author also claimed Mary and Joseph were reincarnated as nuns in the Middle Ages!). I've read Bud Macfarlane's books, too. I found them very exciting reading, yet kind of scary. End of time hysteria is Protestant mumbo-jumbo. Catholics and Orthodox should be more intelligent than that.

Only the SSJV (Society of St. John Vianney) has reconciled to Rome. The SSPX, SSPV, CMRI, etc. are still in schism.
