Hi everyone!

Just wanted to say I haven't posted for a while, and might not be posting for a while longer. I'm going through a period of doubts about certain aspects of my faith, and would like to try and deal with them, rather than trying to suppress them or pretend they aren't there.

I'm still attending church - just don't feel comfortable pontificating on matters of doctrine when I'm not sure whether I believe in them or not.

Thanks so much for your friendship & support while I've been around! I'll check in from time to time & see how everyone's doing (that means you, Alex! wink ).

Prayers for you, Theist Gal! May you find Him always in the "whisper of the cave" of the heart.

Many prayers. Caves and dark nights often strengthen us. It was not Nietzche who first had that insight.

Hey, Dolly!

Hoping that you will find what you are looking for but don't stay away from us too long!

Alex has been gone for a month or so now and I was unable to give him the proper "heave-ho". wink

Both of you come back soon, OK?

And thanks also to you for the quids pro quos! biggrin

Dear Theist Gal,

I pray that whatever you need to work out will be worked out in your heart and soul. May our Lord hear your prayers to Him.

Please come back when you are feeling better, and God bless you.

The icon is just beautiful: The Mother Of God Of Valaam. I have said many prayers in front of the original icon in (new) Valaam monastery in Finland...

Thanks, everyone!

For what it's worth, I feel fine - just a bit of a headache from all this extra thinking. wink

Wow what an awesome blessing. It is just so very peaceful and helps me to remember that they are holding 'us' in their arms too.
