Good morning.

Father Nabil El-Hage, who was elected Archbishop of Tyr by the Maronite Patriarchal Synod earlier this year, was consecrated on Saturday, November 29, 2003 in the Basilica of Notre-Dame du Liban, Harissa, by His Beatitude Cardinal Nasrallah Pierre Sfeir, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, assisted by Bishop Roland Aboujaoud, patriarchal vicar general, and Archbishop Maroun Sader, Archbishop emeritus of Tyr. On the occasion of his consecration, the new archbishop assumed the name of Chucrallah.

To Archbishop Chucrallah-Nabil El-Hage: Many years!

Charles

"One day all our ethnic traits ... will have disappeared. Time itself is seeing to this. And so we can not think of our communities as ethnic parishes, ... unless we wish to assure the death of our community."
