I feel very depressed and upset about recent events on the Forum, and no longer feel very welcome here, so am going to take another break. Bye.

As a devout Catholic and future theologian I can tell you...

some of the worst people you'll ever meet are called "Christians"...

thank God we believe in redemption... wink

You'll be in my prayers, as I know all too well how you feel

I can remember discourses back in 2000 where certain members were EXTREMELY beligerent and disrespectful towards others on the forum.

From what I have seen recently, our dialog here, while impassioned, is far more civil.

Blessings on your holiday,

Gordo

Christine, my sister,

Be at peace during your absence and pray for us as we will for you.

Pray especially that in our fervor for our individual and collective points of view, we are not forgetful of our Faith, our Churches, and our friends, particularly our brothers and sisters here with whom we have all shared so much.

May the Holy Theotokos watch over you, may God grant you many years in peace and health and happiness, and may He return you to us - refreshed in spirit and ready to aid us in truly being the loving community and family to one another for which we strive.

Many years,

Neil

Dear Christine,

May God bless you and bring you back to us quickly, although I know how you feel. It is strange how the few that can make one feel unwelcome and disliked speak louder to our feelings than the many that do make us feel welcome...but that's life, I guess.

May God bless those who hate us.

With love in Christ,
Alice, who will miss you
