My dear friends,

I'm so happy to announce that last Tuesday (19th) Jackie and I have been blessed with a healthy baby boy.

Andrew John was born at 4:18am and weighed 7lbs 7oz and measured 21" long.

The first grandson for both families.

I've linked a gallery of my photos.
hopefully it works.

May he grow in strength, wisdom, and grace before the Lord. May he enjoy the heavenly protection of Sts. John the Baptist, Andrew, John the Divine, and Vincent de Paul!

Dear Brad,

The baby is just adorable. So is his sister... but then again, look at the parents.

Have you noticed the amount of sevens? Seven lbs., seven onces, and twenty-one which is three times seven. I guess he is thrice blessed. wink

May he live up to all your expectations, and be a true blessing to our Lord. smile

Brad,

Prayers and congratulations to you and your wife. May your son have a life in faith, health, and prosperity.

Prayers and congratulations!!! How exciting!

I like the name, too. What do you plan to call him?

Thank you all for your heartfelt blessings and good wishes.

We are calling him Andrew. Although I'm sure he'll get Andy or Drew when he attends school.

Our Greek friends are calling him Andrea Yannaki.
I then added..
"Andrea Yannaki Poulaki" wink

In humour of course !

"Andrea Yannaki Poulaki"
Well, since 'poulaki' is a term of affection in Greek meaning 'sweet little bird', I think it fits! smile

Actually, all the children I remember in school with my children that were named Andrew, were called Andrew.

Atleast here on the East Coast of the U.S., the tendency to cut names has been discontinued. My daughter's name is Christiana and everyone called her by her full name rather than 'Chris' or 'Christi'.

Fondly,
Alice

Brad, dear friend,

Congratulations to you and Jackie (and to Andrew's beautiful little sister as well biggrin ). May Andrew be healthy and happy for all of his life and bring great joy and pride to you, may God grant him many years, and may he know the children of his grandchildren's children.
