I love cats! Here's a video where cats were taught to speek in English. Really!

I'm working on teaching mine to say Mama, so far to no avail. Mine just say - rather distenctly - "why" when they are told 'no' biggrin Just kidding.

Anyway...

Mine make certain sounds for certain occasions and in a way it communicates a bit more than a plea for food or to go out on the porch, etc.

Our old girl kitty who died last month at 17 really understood our language. She related to us emotionally too and was a big comfort/blessing at times.

I do miss her and her "conversation." wink

Porter,

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. May God console you in your time of grief. My cats are like children to me, and I would be devistated to loose them. They've taught me so much about God, like humility, unconditional love, joy in simplisity, forgiveness, etc. I just don't know what I would do without them.

On a lighter note - my husband and I were joking yesterday that our cats repeat the same words because they are trying to teach us to speek smile They're like: "When will these stupid humans understand cat? I mean I try to explain to them why I should be allowed in the window to chew on the blinds - but they're just to dumb to get it" smile

They do make many calls to each other and you can here them late at night talking back and forth to each other. Anyway - hope you enjoyed the video.
